Sicarivs: La noche y el silencio

A career hit man decides to spare the life of a women he was contracted to kill. Because a hit man risks getting killed himself should he fail to complete the job, he must kill the person who hired him, even though all his contracts are blind, arranged via an intermediary.

We follow the sicarivs (Latin for "hit man") over the course of the night as he races to find who hired him & why. Because a hit man cannot risk leaving a witness who could later testify against him, our hit man leaves a lot of dead bodies in his wake as he questions one person after another in order to get to the hirer. The sicarivs does make an exception, but the reason he spares one witness's life has nothing to do with compassion.

Throughout this long & very bloody night, we also learn how the hit man honed his skills. Any idiot can kill a person, but it takes a very specific type of person to do this messy work as a career. The character development is fascinating, and the actor who plays the professional killer is terrific in the role.

By daybreak we know this cold-blooded assassin quite well. Most important, we learn why the hit man decided to spare his intended victim, even though he knew just how difficult it was going to be to walk away from a job left undone. "Sicarivs" is an intriguing and entertaining character study. Who would have guessed that a career hit man, who has killed dozens in cold blood, would have such a soft side?

If a Spanish thriller is good, it's very good. But if a Spanish thriller is bad, it's like this movie. It's very bad! The movie doesn't make any sense at all. The script is poorly written, the actors look very amateurish and the directions is below any critique. Too much talking, too much moralizing, too much killing and too much pretense without delivering the goods. It is not worth watching.

A nice noir film concerning a hit man is asked for killing a woman , being well produced by César Ibáñez , Sergio Bartolomé , José Alberto Sánchez and very well directed by Javier Muñoz ; an extremely tough movie burdened by cruel murders and seedy characters . Magnificent Victor Clavijo in the title role , he's a hit-man who proceeds a grisly mission and along the way annihilating some mobsters . The killer excecutes a criminal spree , one after another , he is coldly killing their victims . Two-fisted Sicario in order to exact his mission , carries out another usual and routine job . However, when it is about to run, he does not pull off and he spares her life ,and spontaneously meets sleazy characters in the middle of a sinister card game . Only at the end , in the last moment of the movie , we aware why he did not murder the woman.

This interesting film features thrills , raw energy , adult subject matter with abundant nudism , lots of violence and enlivened by high-powered performances . Dealing with a criminal assignment what seems like another job , but things go awry and the murderer has just one night to find and take out the people who hired him . Plenty of intrigue, atmospheric music , kinky sex located in brothels , noisy action and grisly killings until impressive finale , adding a predictable twist . It is a movie very violent , depressing charismatic , magnificently set , but always strong , with a perfect abstraction of a climate of moral misery to game with the cold environment and appropriately night scenarios well photographed by cameraman Javier Cerdá . Victor Clavijo gives a very good acting as a ruthlessly hit man who begins a race against time to stop those who would have been hired , because he knows that in his activity , who learns about his work , is dead and that's why there aren't witnesses . Víctor Clavijo is a good but not very known actor who was born on September 28, 1973 in Algeciras, Cádiz . He is one of the young Spanish actors that became popular for his role in Al salir de clase (1997) and he even keeps in touch with many of his partners , and playing other TV series as 14 Abril la Republica , Cuentame , and recently El Ministerio del Tiempo performing Lópe De Vega and Hernan . And for cinema he played 3 días (2008) , Cuéntame un cuento (2013) , 18 comidas , Prim asesinato en calle Turco , La Isla del viento , among others . Being accompanied by fine actors such as : Pedro Casablanca as a master assassin , Israel Elejalde , Fernando Gil ,Nahia Laiz ,Chete Lera , Carlos Olalla and the veteran Mario Pardo .

The motion picture was professionally directed by Javier Muñoz in his only one , though he has written : Atasco Nacional and Crack Cero . This Sicarius won some prizes and nominations , such as : Oxford International Film Festival, ASECAN 2016 Nominee ASECAN Award Best Male Performance , Víctor Clavijo , UK 2016 Winner Festival Award Best Feature , Javier Muñoz (Director) , César Ibáñez (Producer) , José Alberto Sánchez (Producer) ; Premios Simón 2016 Nominee Premio Simon Best Cinematography Javier Cerdá .
