It Had to End This Way

I used to watch all of them, then they started getting rid of all the characters on Fire, PD, and Med. You get used to a character then they are gone. I'm only watching Med for now, but I may be cutting it off also. They can't keep characters. You get to know them, then they're gone.

Really lost interest in the whole franchise. They used to be good, but now it's just a revolving door of characters. If Med cuts anyone else I think I will give up on it to. NBC really needs to figure out what the people who watch the shows want. It's all about $$ to them now.

I don't know if the actors just don't want to work in Chicago anymore or it's a money thing for NBC.

All I can say is Good Luck to the few surviving cast members.

NBC announced that Ritter and Carver will not be back next season, due to budget cuts. Ritter and Carver are not headliners and cannot be making as much in salary as some of the other characters. While I'm not suggesting who else should be cut, it would seem that more could be saved elsewhere. Mouch and Herman are definitely near retirement age and could be gracefully written out. Some of the other shows that NBC are cutting, such as FBI Most Wanted are also explained as budget cuts. But what will be the cost of new cast members or new replacement shows? Or will Ritter and Carver not be replaced?
