The Blackout Experiment

My first thought was, "why would people do this to themselves appearing in a film like this?"

The plot is simple because it's been done a million times (this Escape/Survival genre is a growing favorite and I appreciate the effort of every film). Not everyone can be a Hollywood film with a cinematic release (and even some of those films are garbage) but some contributors to this had no business doing this. There was some good eye candy in here for me as a straight woman. So that helps and might even be a tactic to keep viewers watching. I think the main issue is the director/budget/experience of the crew or lack thereof who had no business doing a movie type that they cannot afford, rather than the talent of the actors.

Except Gun Girl. Her acting/accent was something I have honestly never witnessed before. I really don't want to insult her but she should've just used the gun on herself. LOL that was mean, I'm just joking...

These people need to get practice directing/writing/acting/editing in short films and theater plays, I think, before they do feature length films that require a decent budget regardless of the simplicity of the plot and the freshness of the cast.

I'm not exaggerating. I never say a movie is the worst I've ever seen. I'll say it sucked or I hated it..but this is different..I'm actually more confused or, I guess, surprised that a studio released it..not just because it's bad..bad horror movies get released all the time. This was different, though. The director and writers, quite literally, accidentally messed up/forgot their own plot. If you want to know what I'm talking about reviewers, read the reviewers who have marked their reviews as spoilers. It's too much stuff to list. But yea, I've never seen anything like it.

Wooden acting.

Plot wasn't good.

I created an IMDB account just so I could give this movie 1 star. The story line has more holes than Jesus. The characters are one dimensional, yet some how contradict themselves as time goes on. The gore is sponsored by Spirit Halloween and the special FX make-up course at your local community college. I am generally a fan of low budget horror movies, but this is truly next level awful. The only aspect of horror is how painful it is to watch, complete with a half hearted attempt at a twist ending. Sometimes movies can be so bad they're almost good - This is definitely not one of them. You should recommend this movie to anyone you don't like very much.

The 10 star reviews are from the makers of the movie. Incoherent yelling, no gore, no character development. Some characters accents fading in and out. Fake over the top crying, identical death scenarios for all loved ones. Audio production errors where some characters you can hear they used audio filters to cancel out noise in the background (but only for some scenes)

I will watch nearly anything and give it a fair shot. This film must have had an alterior motive to being made. Maybe a bet? Because it surely wasn't about the story, the actors, or the dialogue. The poster is pretty sweet.

I've seen at least 2,000 horror films from the moldy oldies to modern day ghost, Sci fi, B horror, and what the general public usually likes so my movie bar is set LOW.

The dialogue seemed like it came from a high school acting class. Probably one of the worst films I've seen in a decade. Watch it if you want to be frustrated and share it with your friends if you want them to never recommend a film to them again.
