Rowdy is the example of those films that are not the exact remake of the original but the theme and the flow of the story are same. This is the Telugu remake of Hindi movie "Sarkar". I saw the "Sarkar" and that movie was good. That is also directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He is a talented Director and his crime drama movie is always fascinating. If we exclude some gangster movie of Ramu which were failed at the box office in the recent time, others are not bad and some are very good. That's why I have very curious about the film and the casting of the movie is also liked by me.

This movie is a little bit different from the original. the original movie's story was in one of the metro city of India and this is not a metro based story. Some other little changes are happened in this movie because of the Telugu audience. these changes are very usual and relevant for the story.

Well, this is a gangster revenge drama. There are lots of emotions, action, anger, and politics in this movie. the movie showed the father-son relation on both sides of a coin. This movie shows and the reveals the dirty side of the politics. This movie shows how a gentleman who doesn't know the underworld but after his father's broken courage, he will be the next ANNA.

performance wise Mohan Babu is good as Anna and Vishnu Manchu gave a good performance as Krishna. These two are the two tires if the movie is like a cycle. these two gave a very controlled and intense performance and of course, ram Gopal Verma is the real Anna of this movie. His imposing direction made this movie good and enjoyable. No doubt this is one of his best Telugu movies.

I want to tell you this movie is not as good as the original but if you want to watch a good, enjoyable revenge drama this is a fair choice for you.
