This episode correctly portrays the Pluto system with the newly discovered moons, Nix and Hydra, discovered recently by the Hubble Space Telescope. While the original 1973 series did show a moon orbiting Pluto (but did not name it), this was a lucky guess by the writers, as Pluto's largest moon, Charon, wasn't discovered until 1978.

Goofs
Lieutenant Kodai states that the previous mission was his mission. Lieutenant Mori was in charge of the previous mission.
