Horror Masterpiece...

Nightfall comes off the new wave of Australian Horror with such uniqueness and cinematic nuance - in ways I haven't seen since The Exorcist. This debut feature - in my opinion - is nothing short of a masterpiece. From spectacular cinematography to outstandingly unique performances from Myles McEwen and Ripley Stevens to an authentic, refreshing story set in 1988, I was on the edge of my seat in terror BUT most of all, deeply contemplating ideas around death and the supernatural. What is a spirit and where do they reside? What happens when we die? These questions left me thinking - unlike some of the modern, soulless commercial Horrors of our time. I was lucky enough to see Nightfall at the Unnamed Footage Festival earlier in the year. The final jump scare is well worth the wait... I can't wait to see the movie again upon its release!

Beautiful film

Australian Horror is alive! Terrifying. Beautifully shot. Masterful performances. Not for everyone that's for sure but for me ... it might just be one of my favourite Horror movies of the year! I don't think I've ever seen a paranormal investigator film actually ABOUT the investigators. Highly recommend watching this one.
