Loved this show at the beginning. Frankly dont even mind the topics of the day when they are handled fairly. This episode basically crosses the line for me. Not really that concerned as the show has been going downhill for a while but if it hadnt been cancelled this would have been my last episode. You can show the challenges without this noise. Somehow SWAT, the Rookie, and Blue Bloods can do it. Its not surprising that Wolfe cant. He has history. Stopped watching Law and Order vs 2 for the same reason. I would suggest he doesnt take the last man standing (FBI) down the same path. I will miss International (even with the main lead swaps) but not this one. If you target half the population you shouldnt expect half of them to watch.
Don't agree for it to be cancelled. The show had everything you want action, drama and family issues. I am sad CBS has taken decision solely for money (and I know networks are there to earn) but the series cancelled where extremely excellent. Now, CBS will make shows like CIA not interested and other countries medies which I find boring. I love action and drama shows not Fire Country, or anything like it. I love shows like Blue Bloods even though they are creating Boston Blue there can't be Reagan Gamily traditions??? How is that going to work?? None of the Blue Bloods characters are in it...FBI INTERNATIONAL excellent show with different sceneries and interpol, you learn the police and government extraditions and laws. That interesting and you learn at the sametime.
I've always managed to brush off the subtle, liberal social undertones the writers have chosen to lace through the FBI series because there is generally some fragment of truth in the point they are trying to make, so I've been willing to let it slide. But I guess all bets are off when your series is getting cancelled (probably for same said political commentary) and you've got nothing to lose. If I wanted to be fear mongered with wild, fabricated assertions about the collateral effects of ICE enforcing our immigration laws then I would watch MSNBC. I hope the writers find peace with their new careers as baristas. Good riddance.
Boring shootouts and chase scenes have replaced any semblance of actual plot, and they all end exactly the same way. The main characters are uninteresting and the cast has no chemistry. Every episode is missing a member of the team and they don't even bother to work it into the story, they just make some expositional comment about how they aren't around this week. I think it's pretty clear everyone involved has just been phoning it in this season. This was one of the few weekly shows I actually watched on TV, but it's definitely time for it end. I hope they are at least able to send it off on a high note in series finale.
