Durgapur Junction stands out in Bengali cinema. The Director has chosen a unique story that is based on a true crime incident that had occured in the US many years ago. He has done a splendid job in contextualising it in a small town backdrop. The locale chosen is also quite fresh and has done justice exploring certain elements of the city.

The plot has so many unpredictable twists that kept us hooked to the story till the end. The DoP has done a fabulous job with the background colour and developing a "cold" look that draws us even more into the story. The actors have done a superb job that has made the characters real and gritty!
