"Chokkor" in English means a confusing or perplexing situation, like a riddle or puzzle. And true to its name, the film keeps the audience in a complete chokkor the whole time, throwing into a web of confusion, suspense and mystery. Kept the audience constantly guessing and masterfully balanced tension with well-timed comic relief. Not once did it feel boring. Was literally feeling the pressure of solving the suspense while sitting in the audience.
While the murder mystery format isn't entirely new, Chokkor brings its own flavor with a unique storyline and compelling characters. Didn't rely solely on the lead; the supporting cast delivered standout performances. A special shout-out to Sumon Anowar, who played one of the terrorists with stunning realism , from his dialogue delivery to his expressions, every move felt authentic.
Technically, the film gets a lot right, solid performances, gripping climax and commendable cinematography. However, the editing felt rough in places, with abrupt scene changes that broke the flow. A few angles and subplots felt irrelevant, they didn't add much and only stretched the runtime.
If there's a drawback, it's that Chokkor doesn't quite have the visual or production grandeur suited for the big screen. The story is solid, no doubt, and it would do really well on an OTT platform, but perhaps not theater material in terms of scale and finesse.
Still, for a debut, Sharaf Ahmed Jibon has delivered a promising thriller. With some refinement, he's clearly got the potential to bring even more powerful stories to the screen. Hoping for more from him in the future - and better. There's definitely room to improve, and I'm sure he knows that better than anyone.
If you're into suspense and thrillers, Chokkor is one ride you don't want to miss - gritty, gripping, and guaranteed to keep you on edge till the last frame.

It's a government-funded movie, and as everyone in Bangladesh knows, these movies have historically fallen short in quality. But this one was made with genuine care and love, something that most other government-funded films often lack.
Mosharraf Karim delivered a fantastic performance, as expected. He's one of the finest actors in Bangladesh, so there's really nothing new to add there. The actor who played the junior detective also did really well, I loved his character and performance.
The script was simple, yet engaging and well-crafted. Unfortunately, the film didn't get the attention it truly deserved. Audiences often praise well-made South Indian crime thrillers and detective stories, yet tend to overlook gems from our own industry.
For me, this was the best Bengali Eid movie of 2025. Perhaps a sequel will never happen, but I'll always be wishing it does.

Really enjoyed this thriller comedy!!! Watched it with friends and family, and it turned out to be a great choice for a movie night. The film strikes a nice balance between humor and suspense, keeping things light but still engaging. The comedy lands well, and the twist in the story was a pleasant surprise- clever without trying too hard. The pacing keeps you interested throughout, and it never feels boring. Overall, it's an entertaining and refreshing watch that we all had fun with. The actors & actress did great job.. Definitely I will recommend this if you're in the mood for something fresh and fun.
Chokkor 302 isn't just a movie-it's an experience where every scene feels like a ticking clock, and every silence is a clue. Directed by Sharaf Ahmed Jibon, this thriller doesn't rely on loud action or flashy effects. Instead, it thrives in the quiet tension, the unspoken looks, and the weight of uncertainty.
Smart Storytelling, Thoughtful Direction The film builds its mystery with slow precision, like drawing a circle in sand-you don't realize it's enclosing you until it's complete. The screenplay never underestimates the audience. It asks you to watch closely, listen carefully, and-most importantly-feel the undercurrents.
Jibon's direction is refreshingly restrained. There's no rush, no forced drama. He lets the story breathe. And in doing so, it tightens its grip on the viewer without ever announcing its hold.
Performances That Linger Mosharraf Karim delivers a masterclass in subtlety. His character carries the tension of the film in his eyes alone. The supporting cast-without a single weak link-adds layers of authenticity, creating a world that feels lived-in and dangerously real.
Music & Mood From background scores to occasional musical motifs, the sound design works like an invisible hand guiding your emotions-never too loud, never too obvious. It enhances the tension without distracting from it.
Final Thoughts Chokkor 302 is for viewers who enjoy thrillers that respect their intelligence. It doesn't hand you answers-it invites you to chase them. And just when you think you've caught up, it shifts again, quietly but effectively.
It's a film that proves Bangladeshi cinema is not only evolving-it's daring to be different.

It totally justified the title "chokkor" which means puzzle or maze. A murder, connection of multiple families, influence of power, a bit of emotion, and lots of twists... everything was there and in good shape in this movie.
Casting was great, no doubt about that... Especially when we saw Sumon Anowar as the antagonist and Mosharraf Karim as the lead protagonist... it created a massive hit and value for the movie.
The story and plot twists were great, but the ending needs to be more exciting. It was full of twists, but if they build up the storyline of the main antagonist more strongly, it will be more exciting for viewers.
The director's debut film and first attempt was great for the eyes. No doubt that we will see some more exciting and amazing movies from him.
Final verdict: Obviously it's a must-watch movie for those who love thriller-mystery genre movies.
