Loved everything about the movie
Well writen, well acted and well produced.
Even though mostly the cinema was laudly laughing, there were also a lot of reflective moments, where everybody would go dead silent even dare i say with teary eyes. The cast is amazing, Luli and Leme are very charismatic and very typical albanian figures meanwhile the couple Sara and Goni are a lot more shy, giving that very beautiful feeling of innocent young love. Everything feels real, the characters, the build up of the story, the places that they have chosen. There are also very well known almost legend figures in albanian art disciplines with little cameos such as Parodistet e Vlores, Rita Lati, Irini Qiriako etc. I can obviously go on and on and on but I highly reccomend as an Albanian for you to go and enjoy the movie yourself.

Enjoyed every second of it. The cast is amazing. Aurela being the icon that she is, did and amazing job as an actress as well while portraying Leme a typical albanian posesive mom that always has a saying in everysingle decision of her sons life, Fjoralba besides her insane visuals that have truly no competion in albania and her showgirl vibe she portraited Saras character in all her timidness and pain so powerfully, Dejvi being a very promising actor did an amazing job in portraying Goni the typical mom boy but also eager to find true love and chose his heart above all society stigmas, Luli the funny one had everybody laughing with his typical albanian jokes and "unnessesary" interventions at totally wrong timing on certain situations that added extra comic taste to the whole movie. Overall the movie is a hit and I truly believe is the best albania movie in the last decade to be produced. Keep up the good job miss Producer.

Very nice film with clever humor, with events that have happened to us and continue to happen in Albania. I understand that Leme, being a single mother is very protective and therefore she acts stubborn and decides everything for her son so that what might have happened to her does not happen to him. Fjoralba is like a good part of women in Albania, who are young and the family decides her fate without asking her, simply because a man can have money and lives abroad. Luli is the personification of boys who are neglected by the family or society where they live, grow up without the care of their parents and then are then bullied. And the solution then, as for everything in Albania, is to flee this country. Goni is a mother's son, whose mother controls him for everything and will not let him do the things he wants. But in the end he understands that he must become his own master and do what his heart dictates. And then we have a train car full of other characters who not only give us picture of Albanian society but also better highlight the journey on which the characters of the film travel. And with all these ingredients mixed, comes the best thing that has never been shown in cinema, an albanian film full of humor that never slows down until the end. Even when the end credits come out. We have a small scene that is the cherry on top. Simply the best film that comes from Albania. Glad it came to Europe for us other albanians to see it.
Bravo!

I read the other reviews and they're all on point. I can see it being relevant even 20 yrs from now. The screenplay is perfect, especially knowing most movies made in albania don't know what a screenplay is. The themes are oh so relevent for us albanians, even for us immigrants in europe. But above all, the humour, the banter, the dialogue: brilliant. My six pack, buried under my fat hurt so much the next day from laughing. We need more like this from our motherland. I love comedies so I hope there's more like this in the future.
I recommends to whomever reads this, but I warn you: you'll lauvh so much you belly will ache days after.
The best I've seen! 9.5/10.

"Luli dhe Goni Lemes" is a heartwarming Albanian comedy that beautifully captures the essence of youth, friendship, and the quiet struggles of rural life.
What makes this film stand out is its authenticity. The cinematography is rich with natural light and breathtaking landscapes, painting a raw but poetic image of the Albanian countryside. The performances by the cast of actors feel genuine and deeply emotional
Genius script! Positive vibes and endless laughter.. it's all masterfully blended between nostalgia and social commentary, giving viewers a window into a forgotten era, yet with themes that remain timeless-hope, sacrifice, and the bond of true friendship.
I personally loved it! Will watch again!
