Potluck Teacher

This movie was a pleasant surprise. Right from the start, it was clear that it did not have a big Hollywood budget with all the advantages that come with it. I am glad I gave it a chance. It is really very moving. It has been a while since any film regardless of budget moved me like this.

It's crazy that most Hollywood films these days spend an absurd amount of money to produce films that may leave many viewers being impressed by this or that, but as far as moving people profoundly, Hollywood has too often missed the mark. Lately, it seems like Hollywood is just following a formula and it has started to feel redundant. This film proves that is about the content and not the cover or wrapping.

It will be interesting to see what comes next for the Writer/Director, Andrew Thomas. Once the scenes with the classroom began, it flowed very well and caught my unwavering interest.
