This is by far one of the funniest anime I've ever watched. I've got an enormous 'anime to watch list', so I picked this one because I really liked the plot. It sounded magical and so rare. But that's not really fair, because all anime is unique and wondrous. That's what I like about Japanse anime, it's so much more than Hollywood will ever be. It comes up with the weirdest, most fantastic plots I'll ever experience. And I adore that about anime. It goes beyond everything on this planet.
But back to Soredemo sekai wa utsukushii. The story is about a princess, from the Rain Dukedom, who's about to marry the Sun King. Princess Nike is very relatable as a protagonist. I think we all share traits with her. Her easygoing personality makes her hilarious and caring. She cares about flowers, good food, her family, her new people, the King's servant... She's just lovely. When I first heard her Rain Song, I thought it was a bit soft and kind of annoying really. But as she sang it more and more, it kind of grew on me.
The relationship between Livi, the Sun King, and Nike is interesting and keeps your heart open. It never gets boring, it never explores too far or is suggestive. It's true and genuine. It teaches the value of not judging a book by its cover. It teaches us that when you dig so deep in someone's soul, you'll eventually find that one thing you can connect to. That one thing, that you have too.
Just watch it. It's really enjoyable.

It would have been more positively received if King Livius had been portrayed as an older individual. I tried to watch it three times, but it was only on my fourth attempt that I accepted the fact that he is 11-13 while she is 16-18, which feels quite unsettling. However, aside from that, I found the main song used during her ritual to be beautiful, and the animation was stunning. "The World Is Still Beautiful" made for a good anime overall, despite the troubling age gap. I just tried to put aside my feelings about the age gap simply by imagining he was just unusually very short rather than being quite a few years younger than his "wife".
Liked the fact we get to see a Age gap relationship in an anime like the couple were really interesting to say the least! Also the Japanese sub voice actors were great too (yes incl the great Tomokazu Sugita also!!) and the animation was pretty neat if you ask me!
8/10 I give this lovely romantic anime :)

Originally thought that because the age difference will not adapt to the love of the CP.I didn't expect the production team to be so powerful, and they really finished it very well. It's my little treasure.Recommend you😘
I really like this anime. I have trouble to find proper romance anime, sometimes anime's title romance but there arent contain satisfying love story, even no kiss:/ there are so many cute moments and kisses between Livi and Nike. There are both good characters, especially Nike. She is indepented, brave and capable. ( unlike many anime girls:/) Yes, Livi is more younger than Niki but the love between them is still beautiful:) I think, those who have/had a young crush are likely to like this anime.
