There is no denial in the fact that the Bengali Web Series @Followers released in 2025 is one of the best Celluloid creations I have watched in the given time. The Web Series is a path finder as far as the art of Storytelling in Web Series is concerned. No doubt, the Web Series falls in the category of crime thriller. But it is different. It is not about mindless action, hostility and violence. But this is really something more. Altogether, this is unique creation that shows that thriller can have a humanistic appeal.
The credit definitely goes to the writer. Amlan Majumder has narrated a brilliant story here. A good Celluloid creation always needs a good story and this has been the hallmark. This Web Series is a classic example of this. The narrative goes straight forward. It keeps audience hooked till the end for a breath breaking finish. The turns and twists are well planned and its execution is really excellent. The metaphors used in this Web Series are not only reflective but very much down to earth. The metaphors tactically add the element of pathos helps the narrative attaining higher octave to be called a tragedy. The metaphor also projects hollowness of digital obsession at cost of life. What can more unique? The craze for followers makes all falling in the trap and losing everything.
All the actors and actresses have made brilliant performance in this Web Series. However, the performance of Shantilal Mukherjee and Shamul Alom bears special significance. These two actors have made the Web Series so appealing. Others have also done well in this well-knitted Web Series. Really, an exceptional experience watching this. A must watch Web Series.
