With a hard to bridge gap left by the best of late night, John has done an exceptional job of making each episode enjoyable without fail. Richard Kind proves himself to be even more loveable than one thought possible as John's MC, bringing along with him memorable moments each and every episode. John and Richard are national treasures, world treasures even, that we must protect at all costs.
Its a pity late night television can't sustain the daily format these days, as shown by others still lingering, as Everybody's Live brings a fresh yet familiar quality with it is viewing that cannot be missed. A wide variety of guests and subjects each week, without needing to focus solely on politics for content.

Another massive Mulaney fan here. He is a top-tier, brilliant stand-up comedian, perfectly suited for SNL-both as a writer and performer. He's also a decent voice actor and an excellent talk show guest. I have a few theories (more like psychological observations) on why he excels in these areas but struggles as a talk show host or with his own sketch comedy show. However, what matters most is his mental well-being, which I believe is closely tied to the feedback he receives. There's nothing wrong with experimenting, trying new things, and striving to be great at all of them-but I never want to see him return to his old lifestyle out of desperation or a sense of failure, especially when he's already one of the best at what he does best.
As John said, "Jazz talk show." Very loose and freewheeling. I'm loving it. Loved the earlier six show run last year.
If it was nightly, wouldn't be as alluring, but one night a week. Sure. Tune in and hang for the ride.
People like me who find the endless array of celeb interviews very formulaic and ho hum-ish, may very well like this talk show with a twist. Kinda quirky but not as juvenile as Reggie Watts' brand of quirk or Fallon's wagging puppy dog drivel. Keep on mixing it up, Mulling Man.
I'm sure you'll find you line and length, as they say in cricket and your demographic will find yew.

Wild and experimental, brings me back to the early days of Ben Stiller on MTV or The Tom Green show. While it's not perfect, it's playful and experimental and walks a fine line between being stupid (Tim n Eric Anti-Humor style) and bringing seriousness.
It's a very specific type of show or vibe but I absolutely love it and it's actually relaxing to watch.
There's this Japanese show on Netflix about people visiting a tiny ramen restaurant at night, I don't recall the exact name and it's kind of vintage. But this show and John Mulaney his vibe are very similar, it's soothing, it's smart, it's dumb, it's playful, it's pretty (cinematography of the in between scenes is crazy good) and the soundtrack is just perfect.
More of this Netflix, more!

I absolutely love the vibe of this show, and the previous 'Everybody's In L. A'. It doesn't seem like they missed a step, being off for so long while coming back with a great set of guests to speak on the subject of lending / borrowing money. Mulaney shows that he has a very quick comedic mind in the way he handles the callers to the show. I think my favorite thing about this show continues to be the chemistry between John Mulaney and Richard Kind who is absolutely hilarious on this show. I've never been able to figure out how much of his personality is real but it doesn't matter because he's so oddly charismatic.
I hope this show has many more seasons because I really can't get enough.
