Mike Quasar, in recent years in charge of new features released by the famous Couples label "Sweet Sinner", has a winner with "Lies We Tell Volume 2". It's unrelated to the original "Lies We Tell" by Jacky St. James, released in 2021.
In the new video, Sophia Locke stars as a lonely housewife, writing about her troubles in a journal while her husband, Ryan McLane, is away from home for months at a time. He has an undercover job with the government, and is assigned on secret missions, so secret that she's not allowed to contact him except by email.
SPOILERS ALERT: That sounds very, very suspicious, and writer-director Quasar sustains suspense, as we wait patiently watching the XXX scenes involving Locke and her best friend Annie King. He lets the cat out of the bag when we see bad old Ryan arriving at the home of lovely young Scarlett Alexis, and from her greeting it turns out to be Ryan's home, too!
The full story is revealed in a fine finale, and the happy ending for heroine Sophia revolves around her finding a soulmate in young deli delivery guy Parker Ambrose.
The performances here are fine, and especially notable is a scene of Sophia singing a quality ballad with a lovely voice and a style vaguely reminiscent (quite a stretch admittedly on my part!) of Sade. She sings it live, showing genuine talent beyond the porn realm, and a different version plays over the end credits.
