    Cuckoo touches your heart..

I had not expected much from this movie as i felt it would be the same kind of love story which we usually see. The unusual thing about this movie is the love story of two blind people Tamizh and Kodi(as the character name exists in the movie) The movie makes you realize that there is something called as pure love which exists in their hearts. The performance of both the actors is something to look upon it will leave you speechless. No words may be enough to praise their hardwork and talent which they have showcased in the movie. Brilliant performance by debutant Malavika nair and Attakathi Dinesh. The story being true the director has left no stone unturned in showing what was actually narrated to him by the real life character of Thamizh whom the director had met when he worked as a journalist thus retaining the actual feelings and emotions of the characters.

The movie is completely worth a watch if you can relate to the feelings and emotions of the characters in the movie.

Kudos to the team of Cuckoo..

Love is blind but here Blind people Love

    Cuckoo- a sentimental love flick.

Plot- A visually challenged youth falls in love with an other visually challenged female. They fall in love after tackling many troubles. Will they marry and enjoy their lives ?? Director Raju Murugan has delivered a sensational film though it is his first one. The story cannot be filmed more effective than this. Hats off to the director ! Attakathi Dinesh and Malavika Nair have performed exceptionally well . They deserve an applause for their efforts. The story has been told in a hilarious and sentimental way . Music is extra-ordinary and the music director has delivered what he is expected to.The problems faced by the blind people is revealed by this movie. They are talented people and they deserve some recognition. Many blind people have performed well in this film. Hats off to the director and the crew for the tear dropping climax.

"True love is the marriage of hearts not appearances" is the ultimate point delivered by this film. This sentimental thriller deserves a rating of 7/10. Listen to the sounds of Cuckoo( I mean the thoughts in this film) !

    True love

Sensational movie. Great performance.its a must watch film for everyone. I liked the way it is scripted, the positive approach of the characters is excellent.. At anytime in the movie they are not feeling they are blind..it tells the society what true love is.. The hero always finds heroines footsteps but due to tense and fear he unable to find the foot sound in climax.. Similarly heroine feels she is unable to identify his footsteps like hero but in climax whatever the tense or disturbance she finds hero's stick sound.. That is what happens in true love.. Its a heartwarming ,great performance love drama film and definitely will be a award winning film of 2014..

    Love is truly blind ...

Cuckoo(2014) Review: Finally watched cuckoo after the excitement and expectation created through the trailer. Here is my view on the movie: The story is about two visually challenged people falling in love and their struggle. The plot also showcases the normal living style of those people like their normal dailies and routine. So in that way this seems to be attractive and refreshing concept for Tamil cinema.

Strength: Performances by both leads. Though the lead actor male has strained a lot to fit the role and has justified it, but towards the end of the movie his character goes too melodramatic and becomes cinematic. On contrast were as the female lead remains stable from the starting to the ending so definitely Malavika Nair did a splendid job and really makes us doubt that it is her debut movie. Then music by Santhosh kumar was sensational particularly the nos like "Aagasatha" " Manasula surakathu" and "Kodaiyila".

Weakness: To say the screenplay was so slow and certain areas in the movie we feel its repetitions of scenes. So it goes so long more like a Tele-film and art movies type. So it lacks grip on the tale. Fails to create hard hitting feeling like "Deiva thirumagal" or of "Mozhi" or "Anjali" . Some logic holes in the plot like to mention one in the climax scene were heroine senses the hero after a long time gap but failed to sense him when he was right next to her.

Overall I would say 4.5/5 for performances, music and concept of True blind love, 2.5/5 for the screenplay. -Reviewed by Sivakumar Balachandran)
