Barbie 3 is the latest installment in the short horror film series Barbie. Once again, we see the cute yet gruesome doll searching for a new home-and a new victim! She does not take rejection well, which is exactly what the woman who bought her at a garage sale is about to find out.
I preferred Barbie 2, but I appreciate the consistency in storytelling. Barbie 2 was predictable, and Barbie 3 even more so. But perhaps that's part of the appeal-the Barbie horror story delivers exactly what you expect, neatly packaged like the doll's surprise itself.
One aspect I didn't enjoy in this episode was how rushed certain moments felt. Posting a sales ad and photo on an online marketplace, receiving an interested buyer's message within two seconds, and replying in another second felt completely unrealistic. A little more time spent on that sequence would have made it feel more natural and immersive.
