Much to Mi-Kyung's dismay, So Baek-ho negotiates the sale of Sunnyeo Food to Wonhan. Mi-Kyung unexpectedly runs into her traumatic past. Baek-ho arrives at the Lab as interim Boss, eyeing a reduction in staff. Mi-Kyung seethes with rage.
Against her wishes, Mi-Kyung's brother takes in a new Guest. Baek-ho pulls rank, stoking Mi-Kyung's anger; she retaliates by turning the locals against him. After a drawn-out battle of wits, Mi-Kyung's hard exterior begins to crack.
Mi-Kyung plays dumb when cornered by Baek-ho. When Kwang-Kyung is injured, Baek-ho comes to the rescue. Mi-Kyung comes clean as Baek-ho commits to the pursuit. The Lab gets a surprise Visitor from Wonhan. Baek-ho drops a bomb on Mi-Kyung.
Mi-Kyung meets with a headhunter. Baek-ho reconnects with Hee-Jin. Mi-Kyung's secret is revealed to her teammates. Mi-Kyung takes the fall for a bad decision. As rains pummel the greenhouses, Baek-ho appears in Mi-Kyung's moment of need.
Baek-ho is intrigued by Mi-Kyung's "benefits Others more than Myself" behavior .. and begins to notice her details underneath the surface. Hee-jin crashes Baek-ho's guesthouse. Ki-se butts heads with Mi-Kyung. Ong-ju is jealous of Hee-jin.
Baek-ho offers Mi-Kyung a truce. By making changes to potato production, Baek-ho causes discomfort for the Team. Hwan-Kyung finally opens Ong-ju's eyes. Baek-ho admits having feelings for Mi-Kyung - both to himself and also to her.
Baek-ho practices being vulnerable in front of Mi-Kyung, emboldening her to reciprocate. Hwan-Kyung has a heart-to-heart with Baek-ho, regarding his intentions towards his sister. Ki-se's discovery of Mi-Kyung's dating status causes pain.
Baek-ho playfully turns up the heat. Ong-ju feels abandoned as Mi-Kyung breaks plans to hang out with Baek-ho, taking her frustrations out on Ki-se who unexpectedly shows up. Mi-Kyung catches Kwan-Kyung in a very compromising position.
Ong-ju flees Mi-Kyung's rejection. Baek-ho's patience is tested as Mi-Kyung continues to shut him out. Mi-Kyung bravely reveals how the events of 6 years ago nearly broke her - and The Potato Lab's role in saving her life and her sanity.
Baek-ho discovers Ki-se's and Mi-Kyung's past relationship, as well as his own culpability in the events 6 years ago. Bad news kills the mood at the annual picnic. As Mi-Kyung's happiness shines, Baek-ho's guilty conscience consumes him.
An unexpected opportunity appears, presenting Mi-Kyung with a choice. Baek-ho loses his cool; Mi-Kyung throws him under the bus. Ong-ju vulnerably bares her soul to Mi-Kyung. Hee-jin plays 'Supportive Friend' when Baek-ho really needs it.
As the snow melts, Mi-Kyung n Baek-ho forge a new path. The Team continues bringing Baek-ho into their fold. Episodes 11-12, especially, model the necessary behaviors for the Viewer to achieve/mimic "relationship resolution" In Real Life.
