What worked:
Naresh's attempt to make an authentic movie works for the most part because of the use of talented actors like Saugus, Arpan and Srijana. They stood tall and fair in their respective roles in a rural setting. I must say the editing and cinematography worked well, partially because of the live natural setting and great ambiance. The use of rich cultural influences worked in director's favor with the use of various rituals, village culture and the use of background musics, which brings the strong emphasis on minute details. Srijana's performance and her characterization of her role demonstrates her willingness to explore her character. The references of radio, the use of radio music, playing rubber ball, the method of making local wine and many more shots of minute relevance makes it an authentic Nepali movie from the Himalayan region.
What did not work
We cannot deny, as a viewer, that the dialogues were a bit lame and superficial; a tone used in the movie rather than the regular way of talking. It's prevalent especially when delivered by the kid, maybe because of his amateur acting talent or maybe it's cliche as it was written. These dialogues between the brother and sister made the movie felt a bit stereotypical movie scenes or even less engaging. The movie is not as strong in its execution in the opening half as it is in the other half. One of those reasons is the inability to capture the essence of the scenes in a realistic fashion
