This is a wonderfully done show. I can watch it by myself, or with my wife and two young children. The illusions are fun and the explanations Michael gives to confused targets are hilarious. I truly appreciate the thought and effort put into this program. There are so few programs that are good clean humor and entertaining as well. Sometimes after a long day, my daughter and I hang out in my easy chair together and enjoy a good laugh and some amazement while trying to figure out how he does what he does. There are a lot of fresh takes on old classics and plenty of never seen before illusions. He makes being the unsuspecting mark look like fun. He's very respectful and has a great warmth about him. He seems like the kind of person you would want to hang with. This is and will be a top priority on my DVR. Thank you Michael Carbonaro!
Me and my grandmother watch it all the time it is one of our favorite shows. No swearing (just beeps), nothing sexual, no blood and gore, just nothing but good laughs, surprises and things that make you wonder.
Yes the camera doesn't show u the part where he swaps what he's holding for the identical object but one with modifications from under the counter he's standing in front of. But why the @#$% would they? That would ruin the trick? What don't you people understand.
And the reason u don't see the inner workings of the tricks... is because the people he's fooling don't see it either. So it helps immerse you in the experience.
And no they marks not paid actors, they are real people thinking they are signing up for a job or class, or etc., etc. The type of person who thinks the marks are paid actors are the types of people who whine and complain that the Superbowl is fixed. You can't have that many people keep that big a secret u conspiracy theory dumbies.
So do like me and my grandma do and enjoy the darn show :D

Great magic tricks. The explanations & how he (Michael) says things are so hilarious!!! Love watching the 'victims' facial expressions too. Thanks to all who came up with this. Getting pretty rare finding a good show to watch. Laugh your stress away.....Check this show out. I just watched all the episodes on my cable On Demand. I sure hope I will be able to get/find more. I know I would react the same way as the others which scares me because Michael says some real bizarre things as to what they have just witness. His shoe laces "remembered" how to tie themselves! He lifts his foot up and starts rolling it in a circle. As he is doing this we are seeing his shoe being tied, by itself. Feel so much better after watching programs that cause me to laugh, a lot.
Cameras cut off on spots so you do not see the whole trick. Certain angles are only allowed to be seen so that you do not get the whole view of the room. And please, I do not believe that all the people on the show are that gullible. You can see how he does a lot of it. Do not waste your time watching this.
This show has some great entertainment value. It is appropriate for all ages and all ages will enjoy it. As some negative reviews suggest, there may be some cutaways, but I'm sure that it is only so the audience sees things happen as the victim saw them so they can be just as amazed. I believe the reactions are real to the same tricks that we see. There may be some editing to enhance certain acts for the audience or cut out parts where the victim may have been distracted so he can make a switch, but they are still tricked into believing what they saw. If you are turned off by a show that does things that you know are not possible, then you probably shouldn't watch any show featuring a magician or illusionist, but if you enjoy a show in which real people have real reactions to impossible things happening before their eyes, then you'll enjoy this show. You can be sure that it took many attempts to fool someone for each trick, but most saw right through it. It's only the few that didn't catch on that made it on the air.
