Ms. Rachel

Our 17mo son (2 next May 2026) just loves this show. As soon as you turn Ms Rachel on he's smiling. Trying to sing and dance along to the songs. Its definitely our instant go to when he's fussy or needng a moment to get some things done.

Husband and even sister in law ive caught singing the songs. Great show.

Ms. Rachel's educational series is undeniably well-intentioned and carefully designed for toddlers, but as a piece of cultural content, it operates at a level so simplified it risks becoming numbing. The clarity of speech, repetition, and exaggerated facial expressions serve an important developmental function, yet the delivery is so sanitized and didactic that it leaves no space for wonder or spontaneity. There's no denying its utility for early language acquisition, but as a viewing experience, it borders on mechanical. Emotion is present, but it's staged with such precision that it loses authenticity, like a smile held too long. The show lacks narrative nuance or tonal variation-qualities that even the youngest minds are capable of sensing and responding to. Ultimately, it teaches effectively but rarely inspires, favoring functional instruction over creative engagement.

But even tho I know it's for like 4 year olds and kids, even then and there, rachel's facial expressions feel so fake

Like she looks nice from real life, but she tries to hard with this one

And if you think i'm wrong, just look at the way she said "iTS a suPriSSe...... (5 seconds later)...BBox."

Also not to mention she has a youtube channel that is so much better.

And parents, I know you guys will disagree, but let's be real, first of all, I feel kids should watch something that's animated and fun or kids (which mrs rachel doesn't have either of those) And second, Mrs rachel does so many stupid things, That they're gonna grow up singing a phonics song when they do a presentation in 2nd grade

So yeah, Watch cocomelon, Storybots, or Peek a boo instead.

Ms. Rachael is a wonderful show for babies and young children. Adults who speak ugly of her don't understand this program is introducing our youguns to beginning and basic skills. I taught kindergarten in Korea while my husband was stationed to Seoul. I reviewed a lot of these basic skills for at least half a year. My students all learned their basic skills and more. The ones that were exposed to programs like Miss Rachel, excelled in kindergarten. My grandson daycare puts Miss Rachel on for 30 minutes each day and he comes home and shows us sign language and colors and all kinds of fun things. Keep up the good work.
