The two leads do ok as a pairing for this typical low budget vertical short romance. Emily Gateley is a veteran lead in these verticals and therefore, delivers the best acting. The male lead, whoever he is, does a credible job in his acting as well, although too young and too short to be a supposed 30 year old NBA MVP. The supporting basketball team cast look like a bunch of high school mopheads.
Another serious distraction in this movie is all the Russian-accented supporting cast. The worst of it occurs when their love child also speaks with a Russian accent.
There is only so much suspension of disbelief a viewer can tolerate before the distractions start to ruin the ability to engage with the film. This production crosses well-over the line significantly impairing what was a decent storyline.
