    the guilt

A dark , poetic short Sci. Fi. A Peacemaker. A ship. A mission refused for humanitarian motives. And a fake solar storm. The sacrifice. A new beginning. Fascinating close ups, good performances, eerie atmosphere, inspired storytelling and a smart game of states. Nothing significant, at the first sigh but a beautiful work.

    Sci-fi meets scripture

Two things came to mind while watching this short film. First, it's essentially a space sci-fi retelling of the biblical story of Jonah and the whale from the Book of Jonah. In the original tale, a prophet who disobeys God's command to preach to the city of Nineveh flees by sea, but God sends a storm, and he is thrown overboard. Second, this is a textbook case of "tell me you've been inspired by the Alien saga without telling me." The cinematography is heavily influenced by it, and some of the dialogue is nearly word-for-word the same. The acting is pretty decent, but a few minor details that weren't fully thought through were slightly distracting.
