My Bromance

I still get tears in my eyes when I watched this movie -- TWICE. The way they created the tension, mixing back and forth the past and present, and the twist at the end (sorry I won't spoil the story for you). The two boys were pricelessly gorgeous. I can't believe that anyone could create the concept of two (step) brothers falling in love. It started out like a lot of boy-love Thai movies but as the movie gathered speed they brought out something that was much deeper than puppy love. The family's reaction to the whole thing was so unique. Once again, not the usual way parents react when they find their son(s) are gay. And the supporting actors -- the four classmates -- are astounding. Usually you don't notice the supporting actors, but these ones played a strong role in this movie's foundation -- although the script failed to strengthen their role and some of their story-lines. Quote fine to have such supporting personalities to the two brothers. Thanks for a great movie.

The actors are amazing and you love every character that adds warmth to this tochnig story.

Stumbled across this on YouTube with English subtitles. Saw it had a decent IMDb rating so thought I would give it a whirl. Wow...so glad I did. Great story line even though high school boy meets high school boy sounds so cliché. Perhaps it was the cultural nuances that kept me from recognizing a formula but there were enough twists and variants to keep me watching/reading. The last 20 minutes was quite the surprise but...quasi-spoiler alert...the tears were worth it. Caused me to have some internal reflections (the day after Christmas, no less) that brought a fresh round of tears. I think it's great when a movie can stir up those kind of emotions. This one will stay with me for a while; I love it when movies do that, too.

If you're looking for a shameless tearjerker, delivered by two adorable Thai boys, this one is for you. There is no great writing, directing or editing here, au contraire. There are some commendable attempts at acting... not all of them successful.

BUT, every time the two main characters interact with each other on screen, some magic happens and you will abandon all disbelief. Seems to me the two youths in question are less acting, than acting out and that's what comes across. In any case, you will forgive yourself for watching this turkey, trust me. It's at times like this, that I wish Thai paper tissues were as absorbent as American ones.
