I had high hopes from Baida because the marketing team called it a science fiction thriller. When I watched the movie in an empty movie hall, I realized there was 0% science in the movie and there was nothing interesting to keep the audience glued. No wonder Baida shows are being cancelled due to empty theatres. This is a dumb plot with zero execution to make it look relatable. The bad acting by the cast further proved movie will not stay in theatres for long, who gives permission to such movies to even play in theatres. The content is not even good enough for OTT. No matter how hard the makers are trying to call it a path breaking film, or the first Bollywood sci-fi thriller, or unique film, it's all a hoax and an agenda to attract audience. The movie is already a flop, it hasn't even reached 3 crores at the box-office even with a low budget of 10 crores, the movie is a sure shot loss to the makers. The background music try hard to give a feel that something interesting is going on but yawn, it was boring as hell. The producer or director have not watched good thrillers yet it seems. Baida is a bore fest, sorry to say. I wanted to like this film because the trailer got me hooked but it was boring and dumb. Not even fresh and unique, a film with so much of cliché and dumb plot holes.
I watched the trailer of Baida and instantly decided to watch the movie. Booked the tickets the same day and to my surprise the hall was empty just me and my wife. But it turned out to be a very bad experience. Felt like this movie doesn't deserve such a big release. A good chance wasted and nothing entertains you in the movie. The BGM is trying so hard to draw your interest but it can't compensate for a good script. Plot of the movie is so weak. Actors are trying to act but the characters aren't well written. Cinematography is good but nothing can compensate for a weak storyline. Its so slow just like a turtle but it couldn't win against the hare. Avoid this movie at any cost. Such a waste of time and money.
I would have given zero star, but it's not available.

Baida had all the ingredients to be an intriguing sci-fi thriller, but it somehow manages to fumble every single one into a chaotic, unwatchable mess. Sudhanshu Rai, who I assume was meant to be the emotional anchor, delivers a performance so flat and lifeless that I couldn't care less about his character's fate-his blank stares and monotone line delivery sucked any potential drama right out of the screen.
The story itself is an incoherent tangle of time loops, supernatural mumbo-jumbo, and half-baked ideas that never come together into anything resembling a plot. Sourabh Raaj Jain's portrayal of the "pishaach" villain is supposed to be terrifying, but his over-the-top antics and the laughably bad CGI make him more of a cartoon than a threat.
The special effects look like they were pulled from a low-budget student film, and the pacing is so sluggish that I found myself checking my watch halfway through. By the time the film limps to its abrupt, nonsensical ending, I was just thankful to escape the theater. Do yourself a favor and avoid this disaster of a movie-it's not worth the ticket price or the headache.

It's hilarious that the production team call the movie a sci-fi tale. Throwing in terms like 'Space & time' and 'electromagnetic fields' doesn't make a poorly executed fantasy film a sci-fi film. The acting by the main character is just expressionless, he carries the same constipated face throughout the movie. Bollywood needs to grow, it's too easy for the rich people to make movies in India, without any sort of talent and skill. The film is a prime example of that. The concept was okay but copied from Hollywood film Outpost (2008). The antagonist (Pishach) played by Sourabh Raj Jain, portrayed as a man from 1940s talks and behaves like a 2020s man. No work is done for the authenticity of the period the movie was set in. Poor and lazy film-making because Indian audience will accept anything if there's proper marketing. The protagonist Sudhanshu Rai's acting skills are 0.5 out of 10. He literally carries the same facial expressions throughout the movie, you just don't feel for the character. Super bad film-making. People calling it a masterpiece, have seriously not watched good content yet.
The concept is truly refreshing and unlike anything we typically see in Bollywood. It's so rare to come across stories that break away from the usual formulas, and this one brings something new and exciting to the table. We definitely need more such narratives in the industry, ones that push boundaries and showcase fresh perspectives.
What's even more impressive is the fact that the actors aren't star kids, yet their performances are absolutely outstanding. They have truly elevated the characters, making them feel so real and raw. It's a testament to their talent and dedication to their craft. You don't need a family legacy to shine in this industry, and these actors have proven that with their mind-blowing performances.
I'm eagerly waiting for the second part! The storyline has so much depth and potential, and Sudhanshu has done an incredible job weaving it all together. Can't wait to see what's next! Keep it up, Sudhanshu! 👏
