I never leave a movie review until now! This is clearly one of the best movies!
Don't believe the negative reviews I usually can always tell a movie will be predictable by the trailer but not this one. This movie kept me guessing up until the last second.

For a movie from a guy you've never heard of, starring people you've never seen, War Path is a definite crowd pleaser. Great writing mixed with fantastic and memorable performances from the entire cast in this indie film remind us that sometimes lens flares aren't necessary to make a good action movie. If you like stories that throw you in with the wolves, be prepared to embrace the hitman's underworld in this gritty battle between responsibilities and matters of the heart.
No one should miss this film. I agree with other reviewers here, it's an easy 10. Sets out to accomplish a valuable goal, and does so very convincingly, very gracefully.
Each character is very interesting and well acted. As in any significant narrative, the characters actually develop before your eyes, and change.
The setting, the landscape is very beautiful. Excellent music suiting the region. Nice, subtle touches of humor despite the grimness of what transpires.
Hope this one becomes more well-known, by word of mouth.

I read that the plot of War Path started as an entry in a music video. It should have ended there. I can't decide if the script or the acting was worse. A free-lance hitman wants revenge after his employer threatens, then kidnaps his wife. At least I think that was the plot.
Obviously, the budget was extremely low as basic cinematography standards were ignored. Things like lighting, consistent audio or even using a decent cinema camera was evidently too much for the crew. So many of the scenes were definitely not color graded. I didn't know if that was supposed to be the director's "technique," or they just forgot to white-balance the camera. You can always tell a low budget movie as they just love, love, love unnecessary close-ups. And so many shaky handheld shots.
I've watched enough "hidden gems" in the indie film genre to know that this isn't one of them.

Quite possibly one of the worst films ever. The acting was worse than a high school play, the sound engineering was amateurish at best, unintelligible at worst. Lead actress was very beautiful, but looks aren't everything. The story languishes around crooked cop story and treacherous friends but 10 minutes in you really don't even care about that part, and just hope everybody dies in the next scene so you can move on. This has to have been a passion project for someone's well connected child. I fast forwarded through most of the movie just to see if everybody would die in the end, don't waste your time. Actual rating is a minus 10 stars! Only reason I'm writing a review is to warn others that they don't waste the 15-20 minutes that I did.

- Trivia"War Path" began as a music video. In May 2012, Linkin Park put on a contest for filmmakers to make a music video to their song "Burn It Down." Writer/Director Casey de Fremery then directed a video utilizing the basic plot of the movie (Hitman gets revenge on his employer after they kidnap his wife). The video entry did not win the contest but emboldened by the experience, he went about writing a feature length version of the story.
