The episodes are short, the budget is low and the acting is novice. Despite the limitations of an indie endeavor into film, this is the only representation I have seen of role-playing that doesn't focus upon outsider geek domain or attempt a version of immersive comedy. Instead you are presented with ordinary people enjoying a hobby that tests their commitment to each other and their workplace.

An endearing exploration of Live Action Role-Playing tropes. It is very well written, acted, and produced. I found myself hooked by the humor and storyline within the first couple of episodes, and ended up binging both seasons (as of this writing, there's momentum building for a 3rd season). So good and rewatchable!
Fans of The Guild, AFK, The Gamers: Dorkness Rising, Standard Action and more will easily fall in love LARPs. Enjoy!

A funny little web series based off of LARPer and gamer experiences. Similar to "The Guild", you get to follow the shenanigans of Evan (The DM) trying desperately to wrangle a story for his players, though sometimes events happen to derail that.
Amusing for both gamer and non-gamer alike, it opens up the world to the perceptions of LARPers both in and outside of the genre.

Great series. If you 'The Guild,' fantasy, RPGs, DnD, or nerd culture in general. This series will be right up your alley. If none of those things, sound great... well, this probably isn't your cup of tea.
The basic premise is a group of friends who fantasy live action role play. The acting is pretty good. Every actor really gets into their role. I really like how the GM plays convincing NPCs. He's really good at changing his voice to fit the character, he plays. The other characters are also interesting as well. The series gets better with each episode. Season two definitely raises the bar compared to season one on every level (plot, effects, budget, and bigger cast). If you like fantasy stuff, give it a shot.

This is an awesome little web series and one of the best things to come out of Geek and Sundry.
It follows the adventures of a group of friends as they play in their fantasy live action role play and seeing how it affects their lives and relationships.
It is probably THE best presentation of LARP in media, actually showing it as the hobby that so many know and love rather than the butt of a joke like films like Role Models.
It's definitely worth your time and is brilliant piece of storytelling.
