Pat the NES Punk

This guy's stuff is basically just AVGN but without all the humor. His stuff is poorly written, poorly acted and poorly shot. He knows nothing about making decent content. Basically his claim to fame is he's hoarded a ton of video games and consoles and that somehow makes him think he's entertaining...well I got news for ya 🤣🤡

Honestly his early stuff although it's very low quality, has some heart and is relatable but then he changed to just make content for the clicks and would riff on AVGN episodes or he would hire dominatrix for episodes. Other than that, there's nothing to keep you watching his stuff.

Pat is a very low rent AVGN but with no style, humor, or talent. I found nothing of value in any of his "reviews". He offers nothing new to the table and actually feels like old hat even though he hasn't been around that long.

Where he really attempts to add 'plot' to game-reviews.

I was sort of hoping heading into his podcast, only being acquainted with his early NES Punk semi-fictional episode's that Pat would be more of Punk than Jock. He's pretty jocky and bold IRL, seems to be a real know it all and I admire his willingness to call BS and invite controversy... But I'm not reviewing his podcast.

Anyways the immediate comparison is with AVGN and the inspiraation is obvious but Pat is actually probably the most unique of that generation of Post-AVGN Retro (usually angry) reviewers and I personally think what he has going now (NES Punk reviews for special events) is the right idea.

He's still pretty good, sort of funny which is more than we can say about modern AVGN (yuck)
