I gave this show a go. I saw the commercials awhile ago but I didn't want to judge a book by its cover. Before anyone bashes me saying I'm basis towards older shows making this review unfair; I like Teen Titans Go!, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball and Tenkai Knights. I don't mind shows like Steven Universe, Gravity Falls and Sanjay and Craig. Clarence looks promising too. I laughed my butt off and I can't wait for it to come out. But THIS show is what I'm going to be avoiding like the plague along with Cartoon Network's Uncle Grandpa. First of all, this show gives its viewers the wrong idea that feeding ducks bread is okay. It causes them a lot of problems. Secondly, this show takes unoriginal to a whole new level. Honestly, I can't take this seriously. I can't imagine the creators thinking to themselves that this show is quality stuff. Last but not least, it's gross and lacks good comedy. If I had a nickel for every bad joke on today's Nickelodeon, I'd have enough money to take this off the air. Maybe I'm exaggerating. Go ahead and judge it for yourself. If you like it, good for you. Don't let me stop you from liking something. But I hate it and it makes me angry to just look at it. It is a waste of a time slot for an actually good show.
Remember when Nickelodeon was good? When Nick GAS was still around? When we still had awesome shows like Kappa Mikey, My Life as a Teenage Robot, and Jimmy Neutron? I do too. Man, those were the DAYS.
And now we have Breadwinners.
This is a show that tries to be "cool" when its theme song is a cheesy rap (although I must admit it is pretty catchy) and it's full of potty humor, and the two main characters have the most tryhard "we wanna be cool" names I've ever heard: SwaySway and Buhdeuce. All these guys do is twerk and deliver bread.
I will say that I enjoyed the show a LITTLE bit, so it gets a 2/10 instead of a 1.
Nickelodeon has seriously gone down the tubes lately. This show isn't making it any better. If you REALLY want a quality cartoon, then go watch Kappa Mikey.

Nickelodeon has been garbage lately, first Korra, then Sanjay and Craig, NOW THIS... What the crap is this? This sucked! Nickelodeon gave THIS a series, yet they rejected The Modifyers? All this show is is two ducks twerking and making unfunny butt jokes. There ARE a couple innuendos, but it's nothing you haven't seen before. This is an extremely poorly made cartoon. Bad acting, bad characters, bad plots, HORRENDOUS ANIMATION, and no redeeming factors. Any parent that lets their kids watch this waste of time should be shot. If you want a REAL funny but silly cartoon, check out Uncle Grandpa on Cartoon Network. Also watch Wander Over Yonder on Disney XD, stay clear of Breadwinners on Nickelodeon. Save yourself.
The reason I hate this show is because it doesn't make sense. The worst thing about this show is that there are to many damn butt and fart jokes. I hate butt and fart jokes. Watch it if you want but it isn't good!
Much like most of the critically hated cartoons, I've never expected to like it at all, I knew this was going to be horrendous from beginning to end, although to be fair, I was kinda hoping that I might laugh at this show for being so bad it's good or maybe so laughably bad, but my point still stands.
I was certain to have expectations for some of the cartoons from the 2010s that received higher scores then this and none of them delivered, for as bad as Breadwinners is, I at least understood what I was in for and wouldn't you know it, I've got exactly that.
It's just a generic first time cartoon with no thought or effort put into it, but that kinda grinded my gears even more considering the fact that it was a first time cartoon, how is that even possible?
The concept of 2 ducks working in a bread mine is nothing more than just generic as the show offers nothing new or valuable to the table, not only that but the breads they mind for are something that only Shaggy and Scooby Doo would dream of.
The humor and storylines are basically Looney Tunes and Ed, Edd N Eddy mixed together, it's the Ed, Edd N Eddy set up with some gross out humor and some of the Looney Tunes humor thrown in to create this monster and when I mean monster I mean nothing I would want to deal with.
The artwork and animation don't became much better than the stories and humor as they're basically stolen images and the Flappy Bird thrown into the character designs and that isn't what I would want, I think what the show is trying to by inspired by video games, but unfortunately though, due to poor visuals, that's where they fall flat.
How is the acting? Better, the characters were poorly written, don't get me wrong, but the voice overs did the best they possibly can here, which the show does get credit for, with that being said, that's the only decent thing about it.
My certain apologies if this review was extremely short, but this show gave me nothing to work with, I'm obviously giving Breadwinners 1 out of 4 stars, originally half a star out of 5, but I've decided to be nice since it's a first time, why I'll never know.
Final score: 1 out of 4 stars = 25%
