This film had a lot of promise but ultimately fell flat for me. The story felt very one-dimensional, with characters who didn't show any real growth or transformation. Many of the situations were predictable, which made it hard to stay engaged throughout the 2.5-hour runtime.
I also don't understand how the main character's friends tolerated him. His behavior was toxic and over-the-top at times, and yet no one ever truly called him out or held him accountable. It made their relationships feel unrealistic and hard to believe.
The women in the story weren't much better. I couldn't understand why they would jeopardize their relationships for someone like him, especially when it didn't seem motivated by money or any real emotional connection. Some of their actions were just blatant - like in the case with Broham - and it all lacked depth or believable motivation.
The ending didn't offer much closure or payoff, and I was left feeling like it missed the opportunity to really land the emotional or narrative punch it was building toward. Honestly, this might have worked much better as a limited series - maybe six parts - where each character and subplot had more room to breathe and develop.
There were glimpses of good ideas and potential here, but it needed a stronger structure and deeper character arcs to really shine. That said, overall I'm not too disappointed - it was decent background viewing and good to watch when nothing else was on.
