I'm disappointed. Poles got their version of "The Office", which is embarrassing (in a good way) and very funny. The series was a success, so the creators decided to make their own "The Office" this time without a license, setting the action in a supermarket - which ended up creating the series "Gaska", which is absolutely unfunny most of the time.
The characters are annoying, not funny. The dialogues have no punchline and are poorly written (mainly because they sound very artificial - the characters talk to each other as if they were aliens, not people with their own views).
The longer you watch this series, the more you have the impression that it is going nowhere. Exaggerated customers come to the supermarket and interact with the staff, who are the most boring people I've ever seen. And above it all stands Wlodek, who is a fool in love with America. Add someone to start farting and we have the peak of humor for 5-year-olds. It was a terrible series. It had better moments (e.g. A job interview, arguments between employees, Janusz Chabior, who is an absurd romantic), but as a whole the series is incredibly boring.
This series should get a 4/10 rating from me, but the character of Janusz Chabior saves this show from total tragedy a bit, and there were a few moments when you could smile. Partly as an encouragement, and partly out of some inner hope that it will still be possible to save this series, I give a rating of 6/10, but it is an objectively weak, boring series.

. The show centers around a group of employees working at a franchise supermarket in Poland, with Tomasz Kot playing Wlodek, the eccentric store manager obsessed with American culture. His character's quirks, like his admiration for Elon Musk and American capitalism, add a unique flavor to the series.
The visual production is commendable; the set design of the supermarket is detailed and engaging, creating an immersive environment. The show also touches on contemporary issues such as the impact of online shopping on traditional retail, making it relatable to a broad audience.
However, the humor can be hit or miss. Some jokes feel forced or outdated, and certain characters lack depth, often revolving around single traits or stereotypes. The pacing also fluctuates, with the initial episodes being more engaging than the later ones.
Overall, gaska offers a fresh take on workplace comedy within a Polish context. While it has its shortcomings, the strong performances and high production values make it worth a watch.
