This show deeply resonates with me. As an adaptation of the manhwa, it captures the raw emotions of love, pain, and resilience in a way that feels profound and impactful. The characters, with their struggles and triumphs, remind me of the complexities faced by many in difficult situations.
Every moment feels authentic, and the chemistry between the actors is palpable. I found myself laughing, crying, and reflecting on these characters' strengths! It's more than just a story: it's a journey of the heart. If you seek something that touches your soul, this show is a must-watch. It lingers with you long after the final credits.

This Japanese TV series consists of 11 episodes and is adapted from a manga. The story follows two teenage boys who fall in love, offering a simple yet but heartfelt story. What sets it apart is its strong portrayal of the struggles of youth, the imagery and slice-of-life.
The story expresses the meeting of two different worlds, like two seas divided by borders. Minase is a top student who is highly focused on his studies, schedules, and grades. On the other side, Haruki is a troublemaker and mysterious boy who is the complete opposite of Minase. Despite their differences, they share one painful similarity: both come from broken families. Minase lives under the control of his strict mother, who forces him to follow her expectations, while Haruki suffers under the care of his alcoholic and abusive father. One day, Minase accidentally sees a different side of Haruki, leading their two separate worlds to intertwine. They begin to take notice of each other, though not as friends, as their differences keep them apart. However, as they learn more about one another, they slowly grow attached without realizing it. It is not until they watch a film made by Minase's father that they finally notice their feelings. They accept their love and begin a relationship unsure of what the future holds. Since controlling a relationship is challenging even for adults, the two teenagers struggle against the waves that push them apart. The story follows them as they handle these hardships, growing up and chasing their dreams. Years later, as adults, they meet again, bringing their journey full circle.
In my opinion, I absolutely love how the story beautifully expresses characters' development and their struggles in each episode. Every moment feels raw and real, making it easy to connect with Minase and Huruki's journey. The casts also express the personality and emotion of characters in a very beautiful way. Beyond the performances, the background music, images, and overall, perfectly match the storyline, enhancing the emotional depth of the series. As someone who has read the original manga, this adaptation exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It perfectly captures the aspect of the story, leaving a deep impact. The emotion and beauty of their relationship make this series stand out among other BL dramas.
To conclude, I highly recommend watching this show at least once in your life, even if you have never watched a Boys' Love series before. If you are a BL fan searching for a high-quality and realistic portrayal of love, this is a must-watch. I am certain you will fall in love with their story, just as I did. This is not just a romance, it is a heartfelt deeply heartwarming story of two boys whose paths unexpectedly collide, leading to a deep and meaningful bond. Do yourself a favor and watch it, you won't regret it!

Ranking it a good drama, my score for this love story covers exactly one aspect- yearning. I watched a reel featuring one of the leads feeding the other water. Emotion depicted by the actors and framing of the scene escalated a tint of salvation through love in my perspective. Complete surrender exhibited by 'Haruki', "infect me, even a little" impressed me. Plot was nothing new but it succumbed me to watch, waiting every week. Story is set in modern Kanto prefecture based on a Korean Manhwa. Kisses looked influenced from 'Doukyusei'. The actors were not only compatible but also apt for the roles. Kenshin has a gravitational gaze. Junsei being a fudanshi aided their cozy romance. Scriptwriter has done a great work in condensing the webtoon into a short drama that looked native. It would have been far more intense if made in the original language.
Everything is good until it is not. Don't delve into personal lives. Let the narrative remain wholesome in your last impression.

This is another school themed BL series, the kind about a good student falls for a bad boy. I guess this opposite attracts stuff is indeed a popular one. Maybe because it's all about the forbidden fruit, especially when it's about BL. It doubles the guilty pleasure. Although technically, the bad boy in this story wasn't really a bad seed. He's just a victim of unfortunate circumstances and a bad parent. The plot was very straightforward, with zero plot twists. The visual was good, just like the acting. There's no heavy sex scenes in it, in case you're wondering. And for those who hate sad endings, rest assured, you're not gonna find any in this movie.
