    Entertaining but lackluster.

I thought that Dragonar Academy was an entertaining and fun watch, and only being 12 episodes means it isn't a huge commitment. By the end though I thought that it didn't quite live up to its full potential and there was much more to explore, but at the same time if they never make a season 2 I'd be fine with that. The characters were interesting, but not unique or memorable, just your typical anime tropes more or less. I thought the universe that had been established was the most intriguing part and I was always excited to learn more about it. Overall Dragonar Academy was a fine 12 episode anime but wouldn't be my first recommendation to people.

    Good Anime

Good anime.. the above review is bullshit. if you watch anime then watch this one. if you are new to anime then don't. overall it is a good series with good ratings and seeders. :p enjoy.

In a land of dragons, where citizens called breeders tame their dragon pals. Races of dragons are born from breeders who are given a Seikoku: a dragon star-shape brand.

Learning to ride and tame dragons comes easy to most students at Ansarivan Dragonar Academy—except for first-year student Ash Blake, who is known by his classmates as the "number one problem child." Despite his unfashionably large star-shaped brand that marks him as a future dragon master, he has nothing to show for it. His dragon has never appeared. Until now, that is. One fateful day, Ash's dragon awakes in full glory, but appears different than any dragon ever seen before. What's more, Ash soon discovers that this new dragon has attitude to spare, as she promptly informs him that she is the master, and he, the servant. Ash's problems with dragon riding have only just begun.

    That's messed up

I kept watching hoping to see the story go somewhere and that there would be some interesting reveal of the creators take on human nature or connections or relationships or anything but it seemed to be mostly just gratuitous tentacle porn involving children.

Maybe I missed something when I kept skipping past the torn under garments.

The hero is a teen boy that gives birth to preteen looking dragon girl. The girl is often naked and getting lascivious when intoxicated. I am not particularly disturbed by the inter-species issue as with the rolls that the two have in each others' lives, and the obligations to each other. Its all messed up. Is he her father, her care-taker, her teacher, or love interest. He literally had her in his body like a child and she was just newly born at the beginning of the story. She can't be informed or consenting to any relationship.

    Loving it

What more can I say besides I REALLY wish there were one or two more seasons so that they could wrap up the entire plot and show the rest of the partial story lines they hinted in the first season!

    Love it

This is a great show and I'm waiting on more seasons to come. I will watch it again later. The first review giving it only one star must be written by the finest writer of anime to be so critical. He's wrong regardless of his profession.
