Nakani

A group of young men and women go into a place they know might be dangerous or evil, and the worst happens. A fairly tried and tested concept for a horror film, but has a pretty cool twist, that there was no way I could have guessed.

The acting was good/mediocre, but the movie doesn't use tons of writing anyway.

It sets up a cool concept, plants the idea, then kind of sits back and lets the characters go. They ineteract, like anyone would, as if they were just going hiking, or camping, but every second or third scene, throws in something a little strange.

By the time they figure out that they are in trouble, thats when they start disappearing.

Then the movie really cooks!

Its not what you see thats frightening, but what you hear. AS well as the warning and concept that was seeded very early begins to unfold. Like watering a plant, the frightening legend starts happening to them too.

The ultimate climax and reveal of what 'Nakani' is, was totally original, and terrifying.

Listen to they natives when they tell you not to go somewhere!!

Good movie.
