Watched this with my husband over the weekend and we both really enjoyed it. It came recommended to us by a friend of his as a different kind of indie film that really stood out to him and I completely agree.
The lead actress did a great job in the piece as well as several of the supporting actors. My favorites were probably the space center lead guy and also the older guy who questioned her about what she was doing. And I'll admit, I was surprised at the plot of the film at first, but then began to understand exactly what it was attempting and really got into it.
My only criticisms were that I feel the filmmaker tried to take on a larger project than they could handle and I wish they had perhaps a bigger budget to try and pull something like this off, but none-the-less, I enjoyed it very much!

The film starts out with the main character soaring away from the earth in a tiny space ship and stays with her for the whole film, but through her, we learn who she is, what is happening, and why she is in the ship. And this small approach to an end of the world film, told by the sole survivor, is really what hooked me on the film.
Love the female lead character and how it is mainly told from her point of view and also love how the show doesn't rely on men to fix everything for her. She sets out on her own, decides what she must do, and stops at nothing to get there.
My favorite part of the film has to be the voice that she hears inside the ship and how even she is questioning her own choices, sort of.
My only criticisms of the film would be the smaller budget the film had as I felt they maybe tried to pull off too much and some of the scenes suffered for it. But points for trying in the first place. I also didn't care much for the sort of break in the film where the main character sings. I mean, it didn't feel out of place or anything, but maybe skipping that would have sped things along a bit.
7 out of 10 stars though and I would recommend it to people who like slower more down to earth (no pun intended) sci-fi films and FEMALE LED films!

The film starts out by telling you how it's going to end. An unknown event has occurred in space and in 7 years, the Earth will be destroyed. And that's where the film really starts. With that in mind, a young woman decides to stop giving in to the crumbling world around her and figure out what really matters to her and how to get there. This truly existential film starts off extremely dark and gets darker from there, but in this bleak look at the end of the world and life, there is hope that the end is not the answer, the goal is not the ends. The true value of life is the road traveled and the people we meet along the way.
Really enjoyed this indie drama and would highly recommend.

And I don't mean to sound mean when I say surprisingly, but I've came across more than one indie film out there that I couldn't finish. This one however, has been added to my "buy on Blu-Ray" list as soon as it's available.
I started the film without knowing anything about it because of a recommendation of a friend of mine who stumbled across it and I can't thank her enough. This female led, sci-fi drama kept my attention from the very beginning and didn't let me down. The existential themes of the film really stood out to me as well and I appreciated how much time the film spent on them and the characters going through them instead of just rushing from explosion to explosion.
I would highly recommend this to fans of slower sci-fi films and dramas. Similar movies to this might be the 2002 remake of Solaris or the film End of the World, but only because of the smaller setting.

The film feel like a dream and kept my attention throughout. The best part for me was the main character and her family interaction. The scene with her sisters and the car was really nice and I was sad afterwards. So many time we take for granted those we love and we need to learn to value the moment we have together.

- TriviaThe space shuttle that the main character travels in was actually a real set and built inside a tiny storage unit in Memphis, TN. The storage facility was also a frequent practice area for metal bands who played during set construction and often came to hangout at the set.
