A reaper trainee arrives in Prosperity-a small Wild West town that doesn't quite live up to its name-to claim the soul of a man who isn't ready to die just yet.
There's a lot to like here. First, the concept of a reaper trainee-Death's helper who lacks the experience to deal with the cleverness of those trying to cheat fate-is both original and amusing. Symbolically, he even carries a badge similar to that of a sheriff, which is a clever twist on the classic Grim Reaper trope.
Second, the tricks and comedic twists-especially the ending-are reminiscent of Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and Wile E. Coyote, yet presented through a completely different animation style.
Third, the animation quality is excellent, making the short visually engaging and enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, it's a highly entertaining animated short with a fun mix of Western flair and cartoon chaos.
