Highly recommended Konkani regional language movie with a universal family oriented theme .( Subtitles in english) Great direction , editing, cinematography , music and some superb acting from the talented team.. Already won a lot of national and international awards @ New Delhi film festival 2024, Indo- French film festival 2024 ,kalakari awards official selection 2024 , Chicago South Asian film festival 2024 , the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke film puraskar 2024 and deserves many more in future.

Tarpana offers a beautiful third-person perspective into familial bonds. Tarpana is a beautiful portrayal of how life can be unpredictable and then proves holding a grudge can be a really petty thing. Tarpana is, in short, a true lesson in humility. The star-cast is stellar, and everyone has done more than justice to their roles. We definitely need more such movies in the mainstream. Bar one, none of the actors had ever faced a camera before, and yet, manage to pull off this masterpiece. This mi ie just proves that with a good storyline and a starcast devoted to the role, a shoe-string budget is not a barrier.

Tarpana is a Konkani movie. The story revolves around a family where certain event brings change in the personality of the protagonist and makes him realise his mistake.

The story is well written and gives out a good message. Some scenes feel very relatable and real. The pacing is very well maintained and the movie is mostly on the sad side but there are light-hearted moments that will cheer you up and provide warmth.

The movie is all about the system of generation gap and lack of communication between current and younger generations. Good direction and good acting by the actors. Good location shooted around coastal areas of Dakshina Kannada. It's a paisa vasool movie. It's a kind of experimental movie which we must support so that movie makers can do these types of movies and encourage them in up coming moviez to do such an experiment movies.
