I just finished watching "It's Florida, Man", and wow, what a ride! This series perfectly captures the wild spirit of Florida, showcasing the strange and wonderful stories that seem to spring up around every corner.
The humor is spot-on, often making me laugh out loud at the outrageous situations people find themselves in. But what really impressed me was how the show balances the quirky antics with genuine, heartfelt moments. It dives deep into the lives of the folks featured, reminding us that behind every headline is a real person with a story to tell.
The visuals are stunning, too! Florida's beautiful landscapes provide a vibrant backdrop that enhances every story. You can really feel the warmth and character of the state shining through.

I'll admit, the show's premise is weird and dark, but it's packed with amazing comedic actors bringing these stories to life. As of right now the show has released one episode, but it's production value, set dec, and inclusion of the actual people involved in these crazy situations really has me champing at the bit for more!
It's Florida and we are inundated with crazy stories bc of the sunshine law, and I think some Floridians may hate this show, but ignore the negative reviews and get freaky with this great show. Any series or film that has Sam Richardson, Anna Faris, Jake Johnson, and Randall Park will be comedic glory.
If you have a weak stomach or an aversion to dark/blue humor i would say challenge yourself and try to engage, but it might not be for you.
After all it states it's a "Late Night" comedic series.

When your in the mood for weird its perfect. Anyone curious about all those real life Florida Man news stories should enjoy this show.
I do have to mention the Mermaid episode seems misplaced from the other episodes and I absolutely could not watch the whole of it. Hopefully going forward that is the worst episode offered in terms of interesting stories.
The recreation of the scenes is done well with the random actors in the other episodes and Kudos to the director for putting this together. I hope it gets the green light for future seasons. The gator episode was my husband and Is favorite episode so far unexpected and unique is the perfect combo.

Being from my the UK we've heard that you can Google Florida man and on any day there's a crazy story. Although I've not done it personal, I do rel over my son showing me, hence why I was pretty much sold in giving it a go.
Then to see the names of cast, production I was and still am enthused to see the next crazy true story, being told but those people involved which helps you believe it's a true story because the comical reconstructions can make you forget that it's not just a story and that it really happened. I've only seen a few episodes but I have been raving about the show to anybody who'll hear me!

When I saw that Danny McBride was an executive producer this whole 27 minutes made sense. The interviews being repeated by actors is an old trick. God knows the show would not lead with it's best episode. Florida does have it's idiots much like every other state. We will see what the remaining episodes bring us, but if it Danny McBride expect a lot of gore and nonsense.
Even my my young son came out of his room to say, "what the hell am I watching?"
And he loves everything.
I see what were going for but they missed on episode 1. There are thousands of stories about Florida due to the Freedom of information Act. My favorite is the man in Naples who raised rattlesnakes in his apartment.
