Killing Daddy is an intense drama about a young girl, Callie, with deep psychological problems who wants revenge for what her father did to her and her mother. It's a beautiful, intense and also a sad story, well written and very well performed. Callie is played by Elizabeth Gillies and she really has done an amazing job. It's really impressive how she manages to play a very disturbed girl in a way that makes you relate to her and feel with her. This lifts this what otherwise would be a typical lifetime movie to a different level. Gillies is able to make Callie a versatile character both strong and vulnerable, and this makes it to me her best movie so far. It shows her potential to become a very big star in the future, no doubt about that.
I totally agree with the good reviews this movie got. Killing Daddy's easily the best TV movie I've ever seen. Interesting plot, and very good acting of the main character. I love how the story is told from Callie's point of view so you relate to her even though she is the 'bad guy' (well, girl) in the story. Elizabeth Gillies', who plays Callie, acting is outstanding, she's the other reason you completely relate to Callie. Very well done. The story has a good build up and leads to a dramatic finale. It really captured me and I was really impressed both by the story as the acting. Killing Daddy is my new favorite TV movie! I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good psychological thriller/drama.
Callie (played by Elizabeth Gillies) is pretty much the only character that is fleshed out to some extent and have an actual personality. Every other character feels too much like your typical Lifetime side characters. They're just there to move the story from Point A to Point B or contribute nothing at all.
As a whole, the movie is FAR from perfect, but due to Gillies' exceptional acting and expressions, the movie is quite enjoyable whenever she's on the screen.

If you're a huge fan of Liz Gillies (as I am), this is a must see movie. Thanks to to her, this rises above the usual blah Lifetime movie. Credit whoever did the casting for this, would have rated a lot lower if one of the usual Lifetime regulars had played the Callie role.
This was a great film. I enjoyed watching it. Elizabeth Gillies was a terrific selection for the lead. I thought that the storyline was terrific. There was some room for improvement but it was still good. Some parts of this film are slow. This film reveals to viewers a real close insight and depth of mental and psychological health. There are multiple issues out in the world that not many people are aware of.
For instance, I have had a rare syndrome since I was born. The topic of the rare syndrome that I have and other rare syndromes are not discussed nor heard about much. Health issues need to be heard more around the world. This film reveals a small fraction of that. Viewers would learn and enjoy watching this film.

- GoofsWhen the maid checked the revolver to see if it had been used, there was only 5 bullets in it. It would be more likely that there would be 5 complete bullets and one shell with a dent from the hammer. The crazy daughter wasn't shown taking the empty shell out of the gun.
