Alice discovers that Adelaide was the owner of a big fortune, even knowing they are poor, and confronts her mother about it. Alice sets up a plan to kill her mom and earn the money. Rita and Fernando promise they will always love each other, but Romão wants Rita and sets up Zulmira to seduce Fernando. When Rita finds out, she slaps him and calls him a pig.

After seeing Adelaide's body, Alice tries to calm Rafael down. At the ending of the celebration, Becas tries to talk to her father, but the conversation becomes so stressful that Becas feels bad. Hilário takes photos of Tina kissing Ricardo for the press. Rita receives an unexpected visit from a lawyer that changes everything.

Rita is shocked when she discovers her life was a lie, and becomes so stressed she misses her lunch with Romão, and he becomes angry. Rafael starts to suspect Alice planned her mother's death, but Alice convinces him that she truly suffered and they make love. Miguel convinces Paulo to stay for a night with the ladies. Alice discovers she wasn't the heiress of the money she wanted. Rita and Alice finally meet at the cemetery.

Rita invites Alice for a lunch, but Alice runs out of the cemetery. Then, Rita invites Teresa for a lunch, and Teresa agrees, while Alice watches Rita from a distance, angry. Teresa receives a visit from her brother Paulo, but she starts to see something wrong with him. Becas and Manuel talk about the future of their son. Henrique and Ricardo fight about Ricardo and Tina kissing all over the press. When Rafael finds out Alice had a sister this whole time, he confronts his mother about it. Rita talks to her family about Alice and how she is part of the family now. Alice makes a plan to get her sister's money and Rafael, while not comfortable with the situation, stays by her side.

Rafael follows Alice's plan. Romão's lunch with a woman is interrupted by Paulo, who talks about Natália, leaving the lady uncomfortable. Madalena fears visiting Becas. António warns Alexandra to not put her nose where it doesn't belong. Rafael takes Rita to a poor neighborhood, where Alice "lives" and Rita feels pity of her. In a fight with Rafael, Alice blames him for her mother's death.

Alice breaks up with Rafael, blinded by revenge. André insists that Alice should come live in the Macieira's house, which leaves Rita thinking. Henrique confronts Romão about his marriage. Alice makes a new plan which involves her friend Kiko. Madalena visits Becas. Alice finally follows her plan, which involves a robbery. Rita and Rafael are in panic.
