    TS porn with a message

I was surprised by the dead-serious tone of the set-up to the title segment of this Adult Time VOD - without preachiness it turned the tables on the target audience of trans-curious porn fans. While soon lapsing into the expected XXX action, still a lingering questioning of the viewer's attitude lingers -a/k/a food for thought.

Story has TS star Korra Del Rio enjoying a first meeting with Joel Someone (for once his odd stage name makes sense in context). But when they wind up at his home, he bluntly tells her he's married, but it's okay for her to be with him (sex implied) as his wife's given him permission to satisfy his fantasy of sex with a trans woman.

Korra is extremely offended, as when he tries to explain himself he only makes matters worse -he doesn't respect her or even think of her as a real person, just an object (of fetish desire). Rather than heading straight for the exit, she pursues the subject and ultimately decides to give him a second chance, fulfilling both of their desires while making him realize his serious prejudice. The script has a self-examination aspect I appreciated, as she makes it clear that the representation of trans women in porn is unrealistic and harmful -quite an admission to be made in a porn video! During the sex scene, there's pegging of Joel by Korra, but it's poorly edited (with just a dissolve), tossed into the middle of the scene without any set-up.

The other vignette is titled "Long Time No See". Unfortunately, its attempt at a serious message is undermined (to the point of being almost silly) by poor writing (by Lapis Afterglow) and flat "recitation" style acting by Chris Epic and Jenna Creed.

Jenna is well-cast as a barrista who encounters a boy she grew up with (played by Cole Church) and his dad (Chris Epic) at her cafe, and recognizes them. She tells them she used to be named Timothy before transitioning, and they recall her as a young boy. However, Cole is shocked that she turned out to be a "freak" and says nasty things to her, storming off in disgust. His dad apologizes, but the prejudiced attitude is strongly represented.

Unfortunately, when Chris visits her home to apologize more fully for his son's bad behavior, their discussion (combining reminiscing with good will) is quite artificial and recited poorly. It's just an excuse to get on to the sex action, with both of them enjoying it. Unlike the other vignette, the few minutes of stressing tolerance are easy to ignore in this scene due to the hollow presentation.
