A great opportunity for reflection, with which we seldom come across.

I'm a 20 year-old-boy who was invited by his parents to watch the movie.. when I first heard about it my first answer was to tell them I wouldn't joint them to go watch it -honestly the title sounded boring to me- however, now that I have watched the film, I can assure you I was left really impressed by the profound message it leaves on the viewer, and well as by the simple, light-headed way that such a message is communicated.

As a college student, I believe there is an overly strong pressure - held by the society's mainstream views- for us young adults to engage and experiment with all kinds of behaviors; such as alcohol/drug abuse, early sexual encounters, etc. I certainly found "Mary's Land" to be a fresh ray of light shining through the mist. I believe everyone who has been subjected to doubt in his faith or his beliefs, should give his/herself the opportunity to listen and reflect upon the testimonies (which are by the way, really huge) of people who were able to find meaning in their lives through God. Mainstream Hollywood and the media are both constantly sending a message that we hear wherever we go. Opportunities to find a film such as this one, which invites us to reflect on the true meaning and purpose of our lives, are few and far between!

Yeah, that was weird ... yes?

Now this is a documentary, but it also depicts stories/feelings the interviewees are calling and telling us about with fictional footage. When the Adam and Eve story came up with them having a bite out of an ... apricose, you might already have scratched your head a dozen of times. But it's up to you what you make of such a free interpretation of things and how you receive and perceive the humor of it all in the end.

There are many segments and they all have a different pace and dynamic. It still works quite neatly and is edited very well. Not sure it will change anyones mind, but it sure is entertaining to watch, if you are not to hateful against those depicted here

A movie that bring me joy and tears with Mary, our Mother

The first 20 minutes of the movie is very interesting. The short "Bible story" inside the movie although is not totally word by word according to Bible; it surly does deliver the meaning, indeed deeper meaning; It also allows this movie different from other similar topic ones. I also love the half drama half documentary interviews; The stories of the interviews are powerful and touching. If you want to know what this movie would bring you to, I will stop here, and let you find out yourself. Thank you and God bless.

Investigation and interviews with amazing people about their relationship with god and Mary

I highly recommend this movie I was surprised at how well this film was made, and it's not just a documentary, it's very intriguing to say the least and funny at parts. Interviews with many truly amazing people and their life changing experiences involving Mary the mother of Jesus in today's time - people from around the world. Very intelligent, and, deep reflective people who understand the true nature of the world we live in. It is very inspiring and can be life changing - very informative. I happen to be a recently devout catholic, and this movie really moved me deeply and i can't imagine anyone not being touched by the wonderful contents of this film. Very uplifting and positive.

Slow, ponderous, somewhat pompous, tried to be funny but fails.

This is a 21st century new age religious movie which seems written for a 10 year old audience. There's no real acting, the lines are simple minded and the only redeeming feature are the nature scenes scenes and the animals, which were voiced over with really simple language. Those are pretty good and can be used for a Sunday school class for little tots. The religion angle also seems a bit odd because it sure doesn't follow the Bible, yet it sounds as if they were trying to respect it. But beyond those early nature and creation scenes I just can't think of anything which merits praise. It's one of those really bad movies ones sits through thinking it has to get better. But it never does, so all that's left is wondering whether taking a nap through it may not be the better option.
