Joy Hanu Man

Watched Joy Hanu Man today.

Before it came out, this film faced a lot of religious criticism, but after watching it, I can say there's nothing offensive about it. It respects everyone's beliefs.

The actors are brilliant, bringing their characters to life. The background music is also amazing and fits the mood of the film perfectly.

Himanshu Prasad Das' direction is excellent. You stay engaged from start to finish, with no boring parts at all.

For me, the biggest highlight was the cinematography. The way the movie looks-every shot, every frame-is stunning.

Honestly, the only bad thing about this film is that it ends. I didn't want it to stop!

"Joi Hanu Man" is an exceptional Assamese film that is both well-made and engaging. It never leaves you feeling bored. It's a brilliant new attempt that exceeds expectations. Though there are some minor errors, the film stands apart from typical Assamese cinema with its impressive pacing and fresh approach. Unlike most regional films, it keeps the audience hooked with its storyline and technical execution. The film's ability to balance creativity with commercial appeal shows how Assamese cinema is evolving. It's an exciting step forward, signaling a new era in filmmaking for the region........

The idea is there for sure. Suffers from some pacing issues and struggles to find its way and it's story for much of the 1st half. However, it's a high budget bollywood style action flick so it's definitely entertaining if you don't care too much about plot holes or story. I was impressed with the camera work, the crane and drone shots were expertly crafted and stitched together. The editing and sound however, can pull you completely out of the movie and leave a lot to be desired. Muted colours, awkwardly cut action, stiff protagonist who is incapable of relaxing his face for some reason.

Despite all the nitpicking however, there is effort and there is vision. Waiting to see what the crew can bring the next time around.
