With all the negativity in this world, it seems that some viewers can only relate to tragic and sad dramas. This movie isn't that. It has its sad moments but those moments genuinely contribute to the overall positive tone of the movie. It's a feel-good piece that conveys a message that Change is possible and that life is way simpler than what most people nowadays make it to be.
I give it 10/10 because we need more positive films like this one. Well done.
P.S: This is my first review here ever. I'm glad I wrote it and will definitely recommend this movie to family and friends.
The writer of this movie seems to have been writing from a personal experience or of someone close to him. Sure unlike most of the romantic movies, this one was different. Mainly because it covers all aspects of love.
I mean even before we watch a romantic movie, we already know the ending. Yet this was a total surprise. I like how it displayed self love. Which by the way, most of us lack today.
Owen needed to look for love in himself first before he could be able to find love again. In turn it made him a better father too. His relationship with his ex wife even improved.
As a first time director it's not bad...... I am enjoyed it. Although it was a bit dragged out.
Thank you

Owen: Look, Vera. This was not the plan. I know you have to see other people. I know you need time. I wanna be with you. Adam, he, he really likes you. He really likes me when I'm with you. I really like me when I'm with you.
Vera: I'm not dating anyone. I've been alone for months and... I'm okay with that. But I like me when I'm with you too. And that... scares me.
Owen: I'm scared too.
Martin: Are we still going?
Vera: Yeah.
Owen: I'm sorry. I... I should go. You guys, uh, this is inappropriate.
Vera: [She picks up and hands back to Owen the bag of crabs he had just brought her] No. No, we're going. You stay. You can't catch 'em, but maybe you can cook 'em. And I'll be back in, in, in an hour?
Owen: Yeah?
Vera: Yeah. Yeah.
