Saigo ni Hitotsu dake Onegai shitemo Yoroshii deshou ka

Let's start with the first episode. I have to say it was amazing. The concept of viewing the story from the perspective of the noble girl who is always abandoned by the prince for another girl (usually the main character, typically a country girl disliked by everyone except the prince) felt really unique. I was genuinely thrilled while watching the premiere.

Unfortunately, the series quickly went downhill. There is almost no character development, and the story lacks anything truly engaging. Nearly every scene revolves around the main character punching criminals-or even her own allies. Her personality feels one-note, and the rest of the cast isn't much better. The world-building is also quite weak.

The main character repeatedly says lines like "I will punch," "Do you want to feel my fists?" and similar phrases, often multiple times in a single episode. It becomes repetitive to the point of being distracting, making her feel like a poorly written protagonist. To be clear, my issue isn't that she's a female lead-there are many great ones like Frieren or Maomao who elevate their shows tremendously.

I won't make this too long. The only reason I give it 3 stars is because of its ending theme, which is genuinely excellent and very enjoyable. Aside from that, I cannot recommend the show. It was ultimately a disappointing experience for me.

(12+) There are a lot better villainess type of anime's out there, although this series doesn't quite sit squarely in that sub genre either. The animation was generally very good, but the story itself was a little convoluted and I thought the ending was pretty forgettable for a few reasons. My biggest problem with this anime was her always snugging up biker gloves whenever she was going to fight. It was ridiculous, or maybe they were supposed to be some sort of fighting gloves(?), didn't matter because it looked dumb. Her lines were very cool, though, and I did like her as a character. The prince was a tool in my opinion; some of the ways he described his "feelings" for her was pretty degrading and he is very lucky she didn't punch his lights out constantly! This anime is a very weak recommend on my part - not a total waste of time but with so much else out there you can find better very easily! I have tons of better ones on my list, in fact.

If you're tired of the usual anime, look no further. It won't take you long to see this one breaks the mold so to speak.

If you're the type who needs their anime to be sexist with women portrayed as unintelligent, with the main character having a harem, then this anime will likely make you angry like it did with so many here that reviewed it. Though if you're a woman, or secure enough as a male, you'll likely enjoy this a great deal. It's funny, has a bit of action, a more realistic romantic scenario and a good story.

Don't skip it because it makes incels mad ;-)
