    Disaster Without Logic

The final episode of La Palma, titled "Safe Spot," is so unrealistic it left me wishing I hadn't watched it. The storyline pushes the boundaries of believability to the point of absurdity. For example, if a 50-meter-high tsunami strikes your plane, you're dead-there's no surviving that. And the notion that such a massive wall of water simply disappears because you hide in a bay is utterly nonsensical.

The lack of logic ruins any tension the show tries to build. It feels like the writers abandoned realism entirely, hoping dramatic visuals would make up for it. Unfortunately, it doesn't. If you're sensitive to over-the-top nonsense, this episode will only frustrate you. It's a disappointing ending to what could have been a much better series.

I need my 3 hours of my life back

I see no reason they needed to keep that Sara alive in the entire show, it would have ended much better if she was dead on first ep and call it a day! She is a complete mess end to end in the show, and her acting is also horrible.

Why we need to have them all alive too, yet we saw the brother got shot and killed because he was the one saving many lives. Whoever wrote the plot is mental, and maybe should leave this for someone who got the right intelligent.

Lastly the ending ending they just gave more bs, and the poorly executed uncle and stupid politics killed all people and yet no one was accountable. What a mess.

    A poor final episode.

After the volcano has erupted, the second wave, a tsunami is unleashed, Fredrik and Marie face an almost impossible task to get off to island, and reach a point of safety, Jens tries to help.

What can you say, after a good first couple of episodes, and a strong third, it literally falls apart at the seems with this daft final episode. A shame they had to go down this road, it just seemed to lose all credibility.

All sense of reason and reality was abandoned here, generally silly and nonsensical, all I kept thinking of, was the ending of The Day after tomorrow, that moment where Fredrik and Marie made their dash for safety.

The special effects were good, it looked sharp, but I'm still shocked by some of the nonsense, melodrama meets disaster.

    4/10.

    • Goofs
Fredrick and Sara are in the speedboat, seeming outrunning the tsunami. However, the predicted speed of a La Palma tsunami would be 220 mph. They would have been overtaken easily by the wave.
    • Quotes

Sara: I could die anytime really, so I need to stop feeling like... I need to control everything, and I have to stop being so scared.
