This movie was absolutely amazing. The chemistry between Lisa Arrindell Anderson and Omari Hardwick is one that makes you forget you are watching a movie. The characters portrayed in this movie are so realistic, just pure raw emotions. 100% believable this could be me or anyone. I am so thankful that there are more and more beautiful story lines written and produced showing African Americans in normal life struggles without degrading and self-loathing roles. A Christmas blessing pulled me in and took me on a roller-coaster ride of laughter and tears. Without spoiling the movie it is a must see with a wonderful cast, beautiful story line and heart felt drama from beginning to end. The only thing I'm waiting for is the DVD version so I can watch it again and again. Thanks & Bravo!!! Russ Parr
Family-friendly movie with positive messages for kids and adults. Fell in love with all of the main characters, as they were very realistic to me, experiencing wins and losses, displaying strengths and weaknesses. I ran the spectrum of emotions, feeling hopeful, hopeless, excited, anxious, angry, relieved, happy...just emotional. Wish the movie had been longer. I was totally invested when the end credits started rolling.
This is a good family film for the holidays. It's got good lessons for teenagers and our youth. I would recommend watching it on an early night a few hours after dinner, maybe 7-8pm. Grab the entire family with the teenagers and the little children, light the fireplace if you have one, and relax in the family room with a large bowl of popcorn. Most families would enjoy this kind of movie because it touches upon some emotional topics concerning today's modern lifestyles. Just don't watch this alone, unless you must. Wait until you have others to watch it with. I watched it alone and could have watched it with others. Still a very good 'family' flick! The only downside to this movie is the fact that it could have been stretched out a little bit longer to include character relationship developments, however the closure was sufficient. This should have been included under the family genre instead of just in the drama genre. Enjoy the holidays!
Well acted by the entire cast, realistic unfortunate and fortunate circumstances that occur in various family settings.Overall a good family drama.A real tearjerker! One of the best movies I've ever seen!
This movie has it all. Christmas, laughters, teenagers, tears and love. It's a great family film.
