Over the top acting (by most), choppy storyline, bland chemistry, goofy music clips... I am not looking for Jane Austen intuitiveness when I watch Hallmark, these movies are my mental release, but I do appreciate good writing and directing - followed by believable acting.
This movie was reminiscent of an 80's sitcom, that had 1 season. I have seen an improvement in Hallmark movies of late; a little more grit, depth and reality. This movie did not make the cut.
To produce this, edit it and think it's up to par, is a major oversight. I actually like these actors, just not their performance in this particular film.

Bad hair and over the top set decoration. Maybe Hallmark should return to producing all their own movies. This one was produced by Brain Power Studios, the same production studio that also did "The Jane Mysteries". The same guy directed both and they both share the same problem. The scripts are weak and the dialogue silly but that can be forgiven if the characters are properly developed. I like Jodie Sweetin but her character is portrayed as clueless and inept. I blame the director and writer. June Waltshire is supposed to be a graduate of Oxford and yet is not aware of how her money is being managed or even how to hold a job in a coffee shop? I realize it's a movie but please stop the stereotype of clueless rich people. I might add that the ladies of the town were portrayed as snobby and a bit snarky. Another stereotype that should stop. I live in a small town and no one I know would be that rude. At least not to your face. As others mentioned, the wigs or hair extensions or whatever are horrible. Jodie Sweetin is a very attractive woman so why give her such distracting hair? Corey Sevier and the rest of the cast did fine with what they had to work with. I especially liked Ann Pirvu as the lead's sister. It's not the best movie of this type but there have been worse. Extra points for the animals. I give it a generous six.
I found it very interesting that as this movie was premiered on Hallmark another Jodie Sweetin movie debuted on "the other network" at the same time.

Someone please tell Jodie Sweetin shellac hairspray went out of style with Woodstock '69. Her hair wouldn't move in a hurricane or tornado. She pretty and talented but I just stop looking at her hair. It is just so unnatural. I love all Hallmark movies and have seen her previous ones. Sorry this is too short to post; but someone needs to tell her. I know Hallmark can do better, and this was just sloppy. I enjoy both of these actors, but this was ridiculous. The lack of chemistry was present, and her overacting was full-on cringe. The quality of this movie was horrendous. And please TURN DOWN THE "BACKGROUND" MUSIC.
The plot sounded promising but quickly went down hill into a way too predictable, even for Hallmark storyline. An heiress, June, played by Jodie Sweetin, loses her fortune, but inheirits a rural farm. She meets her handsome neighbor, Bart, played by Corey Sevier. Bart helps June adapt to rural farm life. A Huge DISTRACTION is the downright awful wig that Jodie Sweetin wears throughout the entire movie! The sets are horribly decorated with dollar store sunflower garland everywhere throughout the farmhouse. The plot is so predictable and supporting characters are annoying! The only reason I gave it 2 stars was for Corey Sevier, who did the best he could with the dialogue he received (I've enjoyed him in many otherHallmark movies). There is really no romance instead the storyline focuses on the heiress's transition to farm life, in other words, it's a poor rendition of Green Acres, and like the TV show, this movie also includes a pet pig.
One thing that drives me crazy about all the Hallmark movies is that they start to drag and get repetitive in the middle of the movie and then HURRIEDLY RUSHES THROUGH the final 5 MINUTES to wrap up all the loose ends to the movie! ITS VERY HURRIED AND RUSHED and feels incomplete!
A poorly written and BORING script, poorly acted (except for Corey Sevier who did a good job), AND OH THAT HORRIBLE WIG Jodie Sweetin wore that was such a DISTRACTION equals a MOVIE DISASTER! Please cast Corey Sevier in better movies please!

I love Hallmark movies. Even the not so good ones. Jodie is my least favorite actress and I usually skip hers. But I really like Corey so I thought I'd give it a try. It was the worst I've seen. First, the wig. Why???? It was so distracting. Jodie is a pretty woman but that wig was the worst. Second, absolutely no character development at all. This could have been a better movie. It seemed just rushed. Hallmark, you can do so much better. This should not be the movie you use to try to advertise the new Hallmark plus. I have my sweatshirt ready so please do not disappoint me for the Fall and Winter season.
