I stumbled upon the 2024 horror movie "Souls of the Damned" by random chance here in 2025. And with it being a horror movie that I had neither seen nor actually ever heard about, and given my love of all things horror, of course I needed no persuasion to sit down and watch what writer and director Frank Palangi had to offer.
And perusing the movie here on IMDb, I saw that Frank Palangi also starred in the movie as well, and I have to admit that movies that are written by, directed by and starring the one and same guy usually tends to be questionable affairs.
The storyline in the movie was not good, and there was nothing to entertain me throughout the course of the narrative.
I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. The fact that it was all unfamiliar talents and faces was actually the one thing that worked in favor of the movie. But the acting performances were amateurish and wooden, so it hardly mattered.
"Souls of the Damned" looks, sounds and feels like a film class movie project. And it definitely is not a movie that I would recommend you to waste 57 minutes on watching.
The movie's cover was actually the best part about the entire ordeal, and needless to say that the cover over-sold the movie by a landslide.
My rating of writer and director Frank Palangi's 2024 movie "Souls of the Damned" lands on a two out of ten stars.
