Just came home after watching the late night screening on a monday night! That alone reflects how good the movie is. The plot twists and the ability to provide such a fresh storyline on the relatable theme speaks to cross section of Sri Lankan and global society. Loved the art direction and lighting! Acting was just first class! I am so glad they released this while i am vacationing in Sri Lanka. Got the full movie feeling! I just came home after watching the late-night screening on a Monday night - and honestly, the very fact that I made the effort to stay out late, especially on a weeknight, says a lot about how good the movie is. It's not often that a film can pull you in so completely that you lose all sense of time, but this one truly did. From the moment the opening scene unfolded, I knew I was in for something special. It wasn't just another typical storyline; it was a bold, fresh take on a deeply relatable theme that resonates across both Sri Lankan society and a wider global audience.

The plot is based around a few villagers who are thieves by law but they are covering themselves as performing group. They knew nothing at all that their fate written on a 'Valampuri'....

A perfectly balanced movie in my experience. Camera angles, BGMs and casting are on top notch. The plot is well built and perfectly linked all over the nodes. It must be mentioned that the movie direction was at the best level. For me, I must say that this the best performances in every sides from a Sri Lankan Movie in these recent years.

It's so rare to enjoy a classy adventure - thriller in all movie industries. Hats off for that effort for the Walampoori crew. Overall a superb well driven movie and there only a few points that I think that they could do better.

Not a single second is a waste in this this movie. That's why I said a perfectly balanced, well driven and perfectly linked movie. A must watch movie!!

Walampoori gives out an important message to the whole society about the balancing act of pursuing wealth and greed. It captures the essence of the common man's desire to be wealthy and live in the heaven (upper class), where, depending on the circumstances, they are ready to die for it or quickly give up their dreams and settle into reality. This never-ending struggle - fueled, sparked and manipulated by politicians throughout the history - is superbly captured by the Director and talented cast, who deliver their roles spectacularly. A must-watch!

While the movie maintains its grip on the audience throughout, the ending could have been crafted with more mystery and a deeper emotional bond. The cinematography is breathtaking-every shot is thoughtfully composed and artistically rich, capturing the mood and culture in a visually striking way.

The plot is layered and intelligent, blending suspense, satire, and emotion seamlessly. Each character is crafted with depth and portrayed brilliantly by the cast. The dialogue is sharp, authentic, and often thought-provoking. I was especially impressed with how the film balances humor with deeper social commentary without ever feeling forced.

The music elevates the storytelling, with a score that lingers long after the movie ends. Every element-from acting and direction to editing and sound design-feels meticulously refined.
